Here is the first of my doll collection, offered due to my pending International move. Dolls have never been my forte, but this, and the others in my collection are fine examples of Japanese doll craftsmanship. This young girl is charming. Included is a wonderful glass fronted doll case, shown with raffia rope (now dismantled) great case by itself. Wonderful brocade costume, and pretty painted details to the face. Doll has real hair. Here is a wonderful post WWII Japanese doll in kimono in her own wooden storage box complete with shelving for six hair wigs, and also a small postiche which is a bang fringe. This doll is not only adorable but fun. She is porcelain, possibly gofun, and her kimono is hand stitched in a small scale juvenile print. Her obi is gold and red brocade. All items including the paper label on box, instructional photos,wigs and hair ornaments as well as the doll and box are in exceptional condition. The wigs are human hair and crafted beautifully. The measurements are 3 5/8" tall x 1 5/8" wide x 1" deep and weighs less than 1lb. If you are a collector of dolls this is an amazing find! The body seems to be a cheese cloth with straw. The arms, legs and dress is some type of muslin. The painting of the eyes and lips are still bright. On it's back it reads "Ideal Mexico". We do not know the exact age. The weight is 0.5 pounds and measures 12 x 4 x 2.25. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Circa: earkt 1900 era Condition: Used Size: doll size This is a homemade doll rocking chair, probably made for some little girl for her dolls in the early 1800's.
