Three matching antique sconces, circa 1930, in their original finish. These single-arm sconces feature a hexagonal cast iron back plate, crowned with a triangular loop finial and ornamented with a stylized fleur-de-lis design. The bobeche, accented with a cutout pattern, rests atop a magnificent cast brass torch ornamented with foliate detail and volutes. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 4 ¼” wide, 16” tall, and have a projection of 3”. They would be perfect for any Spanish Revival or Tudor décor. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH SCONCE; THERE ARE THREE AVAILABLE. A fabulous antique Arts and Crafts iron sconce, dating from the 1920’s, with its original amber slag glass. The sconce features a hammered oval backplate with a hooked arm; a hammered lantern hangs from the hook, featuring four amber slag glass panels overlaid with a simple trefoil. This wall lamp is in excellent condition, and the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the edges. The lantern has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 10 ½” tall, 6” wide, and projects 8-1/2” from the wall. Inspired by the British royal coat of arms, the sconces feature a lion on the left and a unicorn on the right, with a crown above and thistles between on a crimson background. A sconce arm extends to either side, each holding a crenellated bobeche with a foliate finial below. The backplate is formed in the shape of a shield, with a single thistle at the bottom and, at the top, a cluster of thistles with a crown. Below, each sconce arm supports a volute bobeche with a foliate finial. Four matching antique double-arm Neoclassical sconces in cast iron, made and signed by Markel Electric Products in the 1920’s. Each sconce features an intricately cast backplate crowned with an urn, with volutes and flowers surrounding a beaded center. Two sconce arms, ornamented with leaves and flowers, extend from the bottom of the backplate to support foliate bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Pair of beautiful antique silver plated sconces, dating from the 1920's. Each sconce features a backplate with rounded and beveled edges, with the top beginning in a sweeping volute loop. Underneath the loop and a shelf is gorgeous scrolling foliage detail at the top of the backplate center. Extending from the backplate is a reeded sconce arm, topped off by a simple bobeche. Below, the bottom of the backplate tapers off into a finial.
