A fabulous pair of antique double-arm Neoclassical sconces by Brandt Manufacturing Company, dating from the 1920’s. Each sconce is crowned with an urn filled with fruit; below, the backplate is ornamented with volutes, clusters of grapes, and flowers. The sconce arms, ornamented with scroll details, extend from the bottom of the backplate and hold acanthus bobeches. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with working switches; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Four matching antique double-arm silver plate sconces with bronze accents, dating from the early 1900’s. Each sconce is crowned with beautifully cast leaves in an unusual heart shape, and features a round, silver plated backplate with a torsade border. The backplate is finished at the bottom with cast bronze knotted drapery. The pair of sconce arms is fastened at the middle of the backplate with a bronze flower, and branches into a pair of volutes at the top with a dangling prism. The other end of each arm supports a bronze foliate wax pan and a silver candle cup with a ruffled edge. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A marvelous pair of antique single-arm cast bronze sconces, dating from the 1920’s. Featuring heavy cast bronze backplates with volutes and beveled borders, these sconces would be a wonderful addition to any Spanish Revival or Gothic Revival décor. The bobeche of each sconce features a ribbed edge with decorative detail on the underside; a floral section beneath finishes in a foliate finial with torsade detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. Each sconce features a sailing ship with white sails against a blue sky, on an ocean with beautifully detailed waves. Gothic Revival details, with trefoils and leaves, surround the scene. Each sconce features a simple rectangular backplate beveled to the sconce arm near the top; the arm ends in a hook, supporting a shade holder with a diamond-shaped finial and an eye-catching flared glass shade. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. A fabulous pair of antique single-arm Spanish Revival sconces in cast iron, dating from the 1920’s and retaining their original polychrome finish. The backplate of each sconce features a crown at the top, with blue fringed swags below. The middle of the backplate is ornamented with a large shield crossed with a red band and accented with blue fleur-de-lis. The bobeche is ornamented with a torsade border and polychrome volutes, with a crest finial below. A magnificent pair of antique double-arm sconces made of crystal and glass, circa 1910. Each sconce features a round backplate overlaid with a cut crystal arm receiver bowl; two glass arms extend from the bowl to hold beautiful crystal bobeches hung with prisms. The bobeches are connected by a prism garland. A glass arm also extends from the top of the backplate, forming a hook, which holds a glass ring with a splendid teardrop ornamented with a star design. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition with just a hairline crack in the back of one bobeche, which is barely noticeable (pictured). The sconces have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 13-1/2” tall, 12” wide, and project 8” from the wall. Each sconce features a hexagonal cast iron back plate, crowned with a triangular loop finial and ornamented with a stylized fleur-de-lis design. The bobeches, accented with a cutout pattern, extend from either side of a magnificent cast brass torch ornamented with foliate detail and volutes. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
