A gorgeous pair of antique Neoclassical mirrored sconces in their original silver plate, c. 1910. These double-arm sconces feature an arched mirror with a finely beveled edge, bordered on the lower edge in elegant acanthus leaves. A column-like arm receiver bowl at the base supports two smooth, silver plated arms with clear glass bobeches hung with icicle prisms. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with working switches; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The backplate of each sconce is ornamented with a Greek key motif, interspersed with polychrome flowers and foliate detail. The sconce arm, ornamented with flowers, supports a glass shade ornamented with flowers and leaves. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. A wonderful pair of antique double-arm sconces with fleur-de-lis, dating from the 1920’s. These Spanish Revival sconces feature a textured backplate with crossed fleurs-de-lis in the center; twisted rods on either side are crowned with fleur-de-lis, and a volute loop adorns the top of the backplate. Two arms are fastened to the bottom of the sconce with floret buttons; each arm supports a bold foliate bobeche hung with a fleur-de-lis finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. A fabulous pair of antique double-arm iron sconces in their original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. The backplate of each sconce features a round section bordered in a wreath; cutouts in the wreath reveal a brilliant red background behind the design. The lower portion of the backplate is ornamented with volutes and acanthus leaves, also cutout to show the crimson background. Two wrought iron sconce arms, each composed of a pair of parallel bands, extend from the middle portion of the backplate, supporting cutout bobeches with foliate detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each sconce features a round backplate with a bead-and-reel border; a baluster extends from both the top and bottom, ornamented with acanthus leaves. The arm receiver bowl in the center of the plate features a triad of bellflowers; two sleek sconce arms extend in a U shape to support bobeches ornamented with fan designs.
