This outstanding & important group of three German Meissen porcelain figurines are from the 19th Century. Meissen porcelain was the first European hard-paste porcelain. Its signature logo, the crossed swords, was introduced in 1720, and is one of the oldest trademarks in existence. These delicate, rare figurines have amazing detail and color, and are signed and marked with the blue logo on the bottom. They are in flawless overall condition, c. 1860, each measuring about 5.5"h. We have for sale a pair of porcelain majolica camels. The camels are large and they are very colorful. They are in blue, gold, yellow, green, rust, white in color. You can use them to decorate or as flower stands. They were made in Vietnam. They are in pretty good condition. There are minor worn places on there front legs. Otherwise they are in good condition for there age. Although I do not know there exact age. They would be packed in seperate boxes. They weigh 41 pounds together and the left camel measures 16.75 x 12 x 22.5, the right camel measures 16.5 x 12 x 22.5. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Exquisite detail covering the entire piece, with a very realistic look captured by the artist. Sukhothai Potery from the Sawankhalok Kilins in Sukhotha Thailand. This piece is representive of The Great Elephant Wars of the Ayuthaya period. The Sukhothai-si Satchanalai area has long been famous for its beautiful pottery, much of which was exported throughout Asia durring the Sukhothai and Ayuthaya period mid 13th century. Each piece is one of a kind, no molds are used and each piece is crafted by hand using simple crafting tools that have a 700 year history. This area in Thailand is noted for having the best river clay in all Asia. The best potters throughout Asia would travel here to wrok and learn this craft durring the 13th to 15th centuries. As many as 1500 Kilins had opened by the late 14th century in Sukhothai along the banks of the Yum River. Sawankhalok pottery is not readily avaiable in the U.s., as a result of the scarcity of the pieces and the lack of production has made this pottery highly collectiable. Exquisite antique large porcelain cherub holding a cornucopia. The base has high relief sculptured flowers decorating it with little butterflies and insects flying between the flowers. It is trimmed in gold along the base. The bottom is marked EXPOSITION DE PARIS 1878. This may have been a stand that would support a heavy bowl we can see there is a metal rod to support a heavy piece at the top of the cornucopia. We've never seen anything like this before. Pieces exhibited at the Paris Expositions in the 19th century were considered some of the finest art objects in existence at the time. This is a big beautiful antique porcelain cherub. It has an anchor mark on the bottom and other incised markings. Please click on enlargements to see detail. To the top of the cornucopia the cherub measures 13-1/4 inches. Widest width at base 7-3/4 inches. From the cherub's arrow quiver to the cherub's right hand it measures 4-1/2 inches. The condition is excellent. This is a very rare and beautiful Paris Exposition item guaranteed to please the most particular connoisseur or collector. (Item #72607)   « Less
