Beautiful pair of Art Deco carved alabaster exotic bird bookends. The bookends have been knocked around a bit. They have several chips and scuff marks. The top of the left wing on one of the birds has been repaired. The top of the left wing on the other bird is chipped off. Please see picture enlargements for clear illustrations. These although not perfect are very functional and attractive bookends that will look great on a bookcase or bookshelf. They measure 9-1/2 inches high, 2-1/4 inches wide and 4-1/2 inches deep. Unusual Amphora pottery vase with handles. The vase is decorated with a golden bird on one side and an Art Deco style tree on the other. The border has light green ovals decorating it all the way around. The vase has a hairline firing crack above the bird and a hairline firing crack near the bottom side mentioned for the sake of accuracy. The vase measures 8-1/4 inches wide and 7 inches high. From handle tip to handle tip it measures 5-3/4 inches. Aside from the previously mentioned hairliner firing cracks, it is in excellent condition. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. The porcelain is egg shell and extremely thin, the color on some of the saucers is flawed, there are some dark spots on the teapot. It would be a wonderful set to sit on a shelf if you wish to add Art Deco items to a room for affect. This is a set of Art Deco teapot and cups and saucers all for $35.50 per set.
