circa: 1960 width: 60 height: 76 length: 16 Made in England around 1960, this yew wood bookcase features a mirrored, drop down cocktail cabinet in the center of the top. The fall of the liquor cabinet has a gold tooled leather surface and locks with included key. Four glass doors make up the top and there are five adjustable and removable shelves in the top. The base has three drawers and three cabinets for a plethora of storage space. All doors lock with keys. The drawers are dovetailed, a sign of high quality craftsmanship, and adorned with brass swan neck drop pulls. The yew wood that makes up this piece has a particularly striking grain. The piece is in good condition overall with only minor wear you would expect from a piece of this age.   « Less

circa: 1960 width: 26 height: 70.5 length: 18 Originating in the UK, this yew wood corner cabinet was made about 1960 and remains a beautiful example of English furniture today. The etched glass door and mirrored back in the top is unusual and the most prominent feature of this piece. The lower cabinet door exhibits a beautiful yew wood grain. The doors both lock with included key. There are a total of three (two glass in the top and one wood in the bottom) removable shelves in this cabinet. The piece sits on bracket feet for added stability. There is a light in the top, but it will need rewiring to work on US circuits. Overall this piece is in good condition with the normal wear you would expect from a piece this age mainly in the form of small marks here and there around the feet and middle of the piece. An excellent corner cabinet, this would make a wonderful addition to any setting!   « Less

circa: 1900 width: 48.5 height: 91 length: 20.25 This exquisite hand-carved hunt cupboard was made during the late Victorian period in England. In tremendous condition, this cabinet has a variety of possible uses in today''s home or office including a traditional bookcase, kitchen hutch, or dining room display. The entire piece is covered in beautiful hand carvings, as was traditional for this period. There is a locking cabinet up top with glass doors. The glass was probably added later, replacing the original wooden panels. Below are two drawers that are dovetailed front and back, and finally a locking cabinet below with two beautifully carved doors. Besides a few very minor marks, this piece has survived in very excellent condition. It breaks down into two pieces (top and bottom) for easier shipping and moving. Overall this piece is a wonderful example of its kind and would make a perfect addition to any home or collection.   « Less

circa: 1960 width: 41 height: 95.5 length: 27.5 Here we have an astounding pair of mahogany corner cabinets. These were recently purchased in England and imported to our store in Atlanta, but we are unsure of their origin. They seem to be from around the 1960s or 1970s and are well made. Featuring glass doors with 15 individual panes in each door, these corner cabinets will make a statement in any room. The glass door and bottom doors on each cabinet lock, and there is one key for each corner cabinet. The shelves inside are stationary, they do not adjust or remove, and they are very sturdy. The shelves have a groove for displaying plates, and the size of these pieces make them ideal for displaying large china collections. The top is adorned with a broken arch pediment and turned finial. They sit on bracket feet, which are extremely sturdy. The pieces are in good condition with a few minor, touched up scratches on each one, as you would expect from a piece of this vintage. The corner cabinets are each one piece and do not break down (except the turned finial comes off the top for safer moving). It is unusual to find a pair of large corner cabinets like this, so do not miss this opportunity!   « Less

circa: 1960 width: 27.25 height: 60.25 length: 16.25 This beautiful yew wood drinks cabinet was made in England around 1960 and recently imported to our store in Atlanta, GA. This has an appealing serpentine front and some exquisite yew wood grain. Both the top and bottom cabinets lock with included keys and the pull out slide is quite useful for a variety of applications. This piece could be used as either a cocktail cabinet, or a tallboy in a bedroom for storage or a small TV. The shelf in the top and the shelf in the bottom are both removable. This cabinet is in good condition, and exhibits signs of wear consistent with age which can be seen in the pictures below.   « Less

Today, the mahogany remains as beautiful as ever, with a rich complexion and a pronounced grain. The brass gilding and inlays also complement the mahogany wonderfully. Inside, the shelves are lined with elegant corduroy upholstery, and the cabinet rests on small but sturdy turned feet. Structurally, this cabinet remains as firm as ever, but it has sustained some superficial wear, including minor scuffs and slightly warped, uneven sides. The door also scrapes the bottom, and the lock no longer functions. Because these are only minor issues, overall condition remains good.   « Less

circa: 1960 width: 36 height: 39 length: 17 This gorgeous mahogany drinks cabinet was English-made around 1960 and recently imported to our furniture showroom here in Atlanta, GA. Today, the flame mahogany remains quite beautiful, with a rich complexion and a striking grain, while the shaped apron and cabriole legs look rather elegant. Traditional acanthus leaf and shell carvings adorn the leg joints and center of the apron, respectively. The elaborate brass escutcheon complements the flame mahogany beautifully, and inside of this charming little drinks cabinet is plenty of storage space. The interior even contains a light, which needs rewiring to function here in the U.S. Structurally, condition remains excellent, and cosmetically, there is only one flaw of note, which is a small irregularity in the veneer on one side (see picture below). Also, originally, the piece would have had glass that fit in the recess on the top of the piece to protect it from liquid spills, but is no longer there. Overall, therefore, this antique style drinks cabinet remains in very good condition.   « Less

The ebonized oak, which has developed a subtle patina over the years, looks quite beautiful, while the detailed carvings make this Victorian corner cabinet rather striking. The solid brass escutcheon and pull form a wonderful complement to the oak, while the corner cabinet itself locks with an accompanying key. circa: 1960 width: 37 height: 58 length: 22 This beautiful antique style oriental Chinoiserie TV cabinet was crafted around 1960 and recently shipped from England to our store in Atlanta, GA, USA. The various carvings and displays look lovely, with charming garden and musical scenes. The brass feet and hardware contrast beautifully with the black lacquer surface, while the interior also features carvings on both upper doors, which is a particularly unique and elegant feature. The face also features hand-painted ornamentation and mother-of-pearl inlay. The upper doors feature a single scene, as do the lower doors. The upper rear panel detaches from the piece by retracting several wooden latches, allowing for easy access to a TV or console. This Chinoserie TV cabinet is in great condition, with only minor surface wear consistent with age, so it would be a great addition to any home furniture collection!   « Less

circa: 1890 width: 44 height: 40 length: 19 This antique solid mahogany two-door cabinet was hand-crafted in the Netherlands around 1890. The mahogany has developed a lovely patina over the last 100+ years. There is one frieze drawer with dovetailed joints, green felt lining and dividers for silverware. Solid brass ring pulls adorn the drawer. This antique cabinet is also lined with green felt and a full 11 inches seperate each shelf. The cabinet doors, skirting and sides are covered with beautifully crafted scroll carvings. The felt remains in very good condition with a few minor spots. There are age splits on the top, sides and front yet these splits do not affect its structural integrity (see pictures). This antique Dutch cabient remains in good condition and would make a lovely addition to any home furniture collection!   « Less
