Note the unique animal finials on the lids. Each in fantastic condition, from the early 20th Century. Not often do you see an entire set of this great quality! There is Heavy gold leaf decoration surrounding both the paintings. The rear paintings of the vases decorated with landscape. Both vases have two bronze handles on each side. A fine and delicately moulded Worcester basket with rope twist handles decorated with the printed pinecone pattern and hand painted lambrequin border. This particular basket has been very finely moulded with small flowers to the intersections of the baskets weave, overall the moulding is lighter and more delicate than many baskets I have seen. There are the usual very small losses to the tips of a few petals and leaves including one tip of a petal that was lost during production and overglazed. Crucially the basket and handles are in excellent condition with no cracks chips or restoration. Marked to the base with the Worcester hatched crescent. Measures 17.5 cms long x 15 cms wide. A rare Worcester basket with rope twist handles. Exquisitely hand decorated with a bouquet of flowers to the centre in dry blue with a gilt dentil outline, further sprigs to the interior sides and gilt dentil rim. The individual flower heads at the intersections picked out in gilt with a dry blue centre. Finely moulded flowers and leaves adorn the ends of the basket below the handles. Very minor losses to the tips of some leaves and one petal only. There are no other chips cracks or restoration, the painting and gilt are in excellent condition with no wear. Typically unmarked.
