Beautiful antique gilt metal miniature painting on ivory topped jewelry box with original lining. The top of the jewelry box has a signed miniature painting on ivory with a 1 1/2 inch diameter. It has the original crystal cover and with the exception of some minor dings on the bottom of the box it is in excellent condition. The box is signed Calle Florida 2+8254 Bazar Colon Buenos Airies. The diameter of the box is 3 1/4 inches. Height 1 3/8 inches. Exquisite antique gilt metal heart shaped jewelry box. The box has a miniature portrait of a beautiful lady dressed in 18th century costume with flowers on her hat. The portrait is artist signed on the right side midway between the top and bottom of the portrait. The box dates circa 1900. It has its original green velvet lining. The box opens easily and closes tightly. Both box and portrait are in superb condition. From the bottom of the heart to the top of the box it measures 2-3/8 inches. From side to side it measures 2-1/8 inches. Height 1 inch. This is an extremely beautiful and very rare heart shaped miniature portrait artist signed box, rare to find one this nice. Rare and unusual Chinese enamel and ivory inset jewelry box. The box is silver plated with button feet. The top of the box has a carved ivory crown inset in the center. The box has a silk fabric lining. Although the box opens and closes nicely, you can remove the hinge pin and keep the box open. It can be removed making it a lift off top rather than a hinged back top. The ivory inset crown measures 2 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high. The box is more than 6 inches long and almost 3 inches wide. Height 3 inches. The enameling is in very good condition as well as the ivory inset only minor enamel loss under the ivory crown is viisble. The bottom of the box is stamped China in the metal. It looks like silver but is most likely silverplate. The sides of the box under the enameling hava a delicate floral motif. The box is in very good used condition. It is artist monogrammed , artist signed and signed Limoges in the enameling at the lower right of the composition. The enamel portrait has a 3 inch diameter. It depicts a beautiful lady with a jeweled headdress. One of the most beautiful enamels you might ever hope to find, set in a jewelry box. The inside of the box has a new beige velvet lining on the bottom and top. Each side of the gilt metal box is decorated with high relief sculptured wreaths, flowers and a harp on each of the four sides. The top of the box is beautifully detailed and is in excellent condition. The box measures 7-3/8 inches long, and 5-3/8 inches wide. To the top of the enamel it measures 3-1/4 inches high.
