Stunning antique five light semi-flush mount slipper shade chandelier, by J.C. Virden, dating from the 1930s. This art deco fixture has a unique ridged starburst canopy, coming down in a pole to the chandelier body. The body features ziggurat details and decorative flower and vine panels. The slip shades are a beautiful amber color with similar floral, vine and ziggurat details. The body finishes in a wonderful geometric and bellflower finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This semi-flush chandelier is approximately 16” wide and 16" tall. Fabulous antique Spanish Revival five arm iron chandelier, dating from the 1920s. This semi flush mount fixture features a fabulous hammered texture throughout and begins in a fitter with a crimped upper edge. The body is composed of five vertical bands that move down and out to support a wider, surrounding lower body. The lower body features more iron band work and hammered shields. Five U-shaped chandelier arms support pie crust bobeches that are encircled by an attached round band and finished in a steeple finial. This chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. Part of the Hampton Line, this chandelier is described in Glasco Electric's 1935 catalog as, "made of Cast Ferro Metal and finished in a beautiful Antique Gold. The Glassware, decorated in Suntan with Brown shading is so designed that the light is diffused from all sides of the ring and produces a continuous circle of soft cheerful illumination." This ring shaped fixture features fabulous Art Deco and flower details, and the original glass shades have a floral motif also visible from the underside. Antique five light iron semi-flush mount chandelier in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. Featuring original polychrome accents of green and orange, the chandelier begins in a canopy with shield and rope details. The body has an open design ornamented with berries, flowers, foliage and volutes between each chandelier arm. The five downward facing bobeches have pierced decorative details while a brass tassel finial hangs from the center of the fixture. Mid-Century Modern French 1950s Chandelier Here is a great ceiling light for a special place. French, and made from aluminum, it has four down lights having heavy cast glass shades. These shades are simply neat. Very thick, and very heavy, they epitomize the 50’s with the star rays and squat ball shape. They are “threaded” into the fitter rather than using set screws. Very neat! Downside is the size of light bulb it can take. Being a converted French fixture to American sockets, it can only take a smaller 25 watt or so light bulb. We recommend using LED or compact fluorescent bulbs for more light output. The metal could use a polishing or fine steel wool depending on the finish. It does show its age a bit, but we tend not to interfere with the aging process since it is a collectible after all. Measurements: * Diameter: 18" * Height: 9" overall, including the shades. This chandelier has been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. A marvelous antique single-light semi-flush mount chandelier, dating from the 1920’s and retaining its original polychrome finish. Found in Iowa, this chandelier begins with a simple canopy accented with a cluster of polychrome leaves. Two wrought iron bands, each hung with an icicle prism, form the chandelier body and converge at a foliate bobeche at the bottom. The bobeche has polychrome leaves and a flower below, with a dangling tassel finial at the bottom. Pair of unusual and striking hanging lights...circa 1920's. These ceiling fixtures take one single normal bulb up to and including 150 watt size. All UL approved. The effect is Streamline Deco in nature with the sharp decor of the shades, but could also be comfortable within Mid-Century Modern decor too. Electrical: These chandeliers have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal sockets for everyday medium base bulbs were installed. These ceiling lights mount with a normal crossbar (supplied) using two decorated nickel ball fasteners. The crossbar mounts to a normal electrical box. All mounting hardware will be supplied as shown. Measurements: A mere 9 1/2” tall from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. 11 1/2” diameter shade. Antique Embossed Floral Shade Ceiling Bowl Light Fixture Nice embossed shade ceiling light with two sockets. Perfect for a smaller room, or in a dining room over a table. The opal glass shade is simply gorgeous with embossed floral décor. Very nicely done, as the pictures will show. Probably a product of Consolidated glass or one of the other up-scale US manufacturers. The fixture is brass, and has a lovely antique patina. Measurements: * Height: 11" * Diameter: 12", the shade's overall diameter. The shade is lit by two standard sockets, each capable of accepting a 100 watt light bulb, giving a nice 200 watts of total light. We did not power it up for pictures, as too strong of bulb blows out the focus of our camera lens. We always use small 25 watt or lower bulbs in our pictures so the detail of the light fixture itself is revealed. This wonderful light has been rewired in our UL approved lamp shop to UL standards.
