A Victorian / Edwardian fire screen made of mahogany wood with hand embroidered needlework inset.29inches high and 27 1/2inches accross.Mahogany frame with simple wooden scrolls attached on top. Nice patina to old wood, which is in very good condition. Mortise and Tennon joinery.Embroidery on front of screen depicts a variety of fruit, butterflies, birds and a squirrel. Very exciting workmanship and bright colours. There is some wear to the background cloth, including at least 3 places where it has split and one missing patch that should all be restored.
