A fabulous high-shaped back French recamier in the Louis XVI manner. The frame flows gracefully across the back with great arches and points. An interesting and unusual decorative piece! This brilliant settee is an amazing example of 19th Century French design, having an intricately carved floral bouquet and ribbon crown and thick fluted legs. It is in outstanding original condition, circa 1880, and measuring 79W x 34D x 39H at the widest points. With a little upholstery this sofa will be absolutely stunning!   « Less

We have for sale an extra nice 2 piece French Victorian style sofa and matching chair. It is gorgeous and what is great the condition is excellent. The wood is blond trimmed in gold with a hint of mauve. The fabric show no wear. There are no tears or stains. The fabric is iridescent. The chair and sofa has a large crown on top with a Victorian style in the wood work. It has your button tuft back. It sits very comfortable. We do not know the exact age or date it was made. The sofa is 44 inches tall by 79 inches long and 34 inches wide and weighs 100 pounds. The chair is 43 inches tall by 34 inches side to side and 32 1/2 inches from front to back and weighs 54 pounds. This will be shipped with insurance by UPS Freight Lines. It will be delivered to your door after making appointment with you for delivery.
