circa: 2000 width: 24 height: 40 length: 21 These stunning solid mahogany scroll back Chippendale style dining chairs are carefully made using the finest in antique style materials and techniques. The solid mahogany, being treated to an elaborate hand-finishing process that includes distressing and polishing, displays a strikingly rich complexion and distinct grain that are equaled only by the impressive detail shown in the carvings along the scroll backs, armrests, knees and ball-and-claw feet. Because these dining chairs are solid mahogany, they possess a strength and durability that cheap imitation furniture cannot hope to rival and, moreover, the cabriole legs are particularly strong because of their kneed construction, a characteristic with which antique Chippendale craftsmen were quite familiar. The upholstered seats complement the solid mahogany wonderfully, and as has been customary in antique chairs for centuries, they are removable for easy cleaning, so there is no need to worry about dirt buildup! These solid mahogany scroll back Chippendale style dining chairs will definitely last for decades and, if treated well, for generations, so making a set of these chairs part of your home furniture collection could very well be a lifetime investment! « Less

circa: 2000 width: 37 height: 37 length: 21 This antique style mahogany straight front chest of drawers is handmade as a Georgian period reproduction. The straight front design and plain, unadorned construction are common features of Georgian period furniture, and the maker of this chest has executed them beautifully. The mahogany also looks spectacular, with a rich complexion and distinct grain that are treated to an intricate antique style finishing process that includes hand-distressing and hand-polishing. Complementing the mahogany are optional satinwood inlays that run in banding around the top and draw fronts. Also, the antiqued solid brass swan neck style pulls contrast quite well with both woods. Each of the four drawers features hand-cut dovetailed joints, while the top two lock, and the chest of drawers rests on strong shaped bracket feet. Like all of our English reproduction furniture, this mahogany straight front chest of drawers represents the finest quality available to the furniture-making world that cheap imitations cannot hope to equal, and making one of these chests of drawers a part of your home would certainly be a lifetime investment! « Less
