This English reproduction antique dresser is, like all of our English furniture, made with a highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail possible, and has a distinct look and feel that cannot be achieved with cheaply made imitations. The wood is an exquisite hand-distressed mahogany or walnut with a rich complexion and pronounced grain. While it is new wood, the cabinetmaker has treated it so beautifully with an aged and mellow appearance that this English reproduction dresser looks like a museum quality antique. The edges of the top of the dresser come with an optional border of satinwood or walnut crossbanding, while this English dresser also features banding around the drawer fronts. The textured contrast between the banding and the principle wood type gives this dresser a great deal of character and makes for a beautiful overall effect. While all the drawers boast hand-cut dovetailed and elegant brass hardware, the top two also feature locks and keys.
