The front is inscribed MORAN, AUG 20th 1874, M.E.M. PRIZE along with a figure of a gentleman with a goatee that looks like he is running. On the reverse it is inscribed WON BY W.J. It was most likely purchased at the Tuscon Gem Show and made into a ring in Arizona. The setting is very unusual and beautiful. It is marked 14k. It looks to be in very good condition. It is very heavy for it's size. The total weight for the bola with finials and leather weighing 5.18 troy ounces or 161.5 grams. Marked with the artist's monogram on the back and 57/250. For sale is a beautiful Navajo sterling silver and pietersite bola. The center piece is approximately 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" with the stone measuring 1 3/4" x 1 3/8". The leather rope is in very good condition with 4 sets of silver mounts and finials at the bottom that measure almost 2" in length. Unmarked as far as I can see but very well made. The last photo shows something on the back above the beads. It could be marks from hammering the silver. I can't make anything out of it. It looks to be in great condition. For sale is a beautiful sterling silver bola inlaid with various stones by Navajo artist, Larry Watchman, 1850-2009. Approximately 2" x 1 1/2". This lovely piece of Navajo jewelry is made up of sterling silver inlaid with shell, turquoise, coral and mother of pearl, to name a few. It is attached to woven leather with 2 1/4" sterling tips. It was very hard to photograph but is beautiful. Marked on the back, "LW". Larry Watchman was born October 8, 1850 in Shiprock, into the Redhouse People Clan for the Mountain Cove People Clan. He was a silversmith and member of the East Navajo Fair Board. He lived in Crownpoint, New Mexico. He died at the age of 58 in Laguna Acoma. Very good condition.   « Less
