Victorian, circa 1840 Early Victorian Staffordshire figure of a lion and lamb, both recumbent on a shaped, plinth base. The lion''s tail is swept over it''s back. Titled base with purple transfer print reading ''The young Lion shall lie down with the Lamb ISAIAH x10. 6v.'' Attributed to John Lloyd of Shelton. Shredded clay forms the lion''s mane and tail, and the lamb''s coat. Dull gilt decoration to the base. Decorated all round. Vent hole to underside.
