Very nice quality genuine Akoya cultured pearl necklace. The pearls are matching, not graduated, and each measure approx. 7 mm diameter. All are knotted between. They have a lovely rich pinky/cream sheen. The unusual clasp slides into a drilled out pearl. Gold clasp, and fitted with a 9ct gold safety chain (you would do this up with the pearls in front, then turn the clasp around to the rear). Total length of necklace is 42 cm. Excellent condition. Silver brooch, by or in the style of, Elis Kauppi, the Finnish modernist designer, circa 1960s. Mounted with four cabochon domes of tiger's eye. Each is a different colour - one is reddish, one is golden, one is black and the other is dark brown. It is also fitted with a silver bale, so you could wear it as a pendant, or attach a safety chain to this. Brooch measures 38 mm wide by 25 mm. Bale is fitted at one end, and as a pendant, it would be worn in the vertical shape not the horizontal. Excellent condition.   « Less

Vintage set of genuine Akoya ocean pearls - cultured pearls. Two strands of graduated pearls, with a large, decorative Art Deco clasp. The clasp is silver, mounted with diamanté (paste) stones. It has a hallmark of 935, which is purer than sterling. Total length of necklace (shortest stand) is 42 cm. The largest pearls are 7.75 mm diameter graduating down to 3 mm at clasp. 18ct gold four stone ring, mounted with three sapphires and two diamonds. This lovely ring would date from early 20th century, maker is Willam J Holmes, of Birmingham, England. The mount is hand finished, cast made. The two diamonds are grain set, old European cut of approx. 3.5 to 3.7mm by 2.5 to 2.6 mm. They are estimated to total 0.40carats. We have a valuation on this ring, and the diamonds are assessed as Good old make, F-H colour, I1-I2 clarity. The three sapphires are grain set, round mixed cut - one is approx. 4.3 mm and the other two are 2 - 3.2 mm diameter. They are estimated to total 0.60 carats and are dark violetish blue of very good quality. Condition: The sapphires have abraded crowns, commensurate with age and having been worn. One diamond is loose in the setting, but appears to be secure. The shank is slightly out of round - it has been sized at some stage, this having cut the date letter off the hallmark. This is a lovely, ring, and looks fabulous against a plain wedding band. The ring fitting is UK size O (USA size 7) with an internal diameter of 17.5 mm. The ring face measures 6.5 mm by 18 mm. Shank at rear of finger measures 3 mm. TW: 5g. The valuation report (which will be provided to the purchaser) gives a new comparison value of NZ$3500.00, and a Used Retail Market Value of NZ$1400.00. Victorian 19th century brooch with panel under glass containing a floral picture made from hair - neatly curled or cut into leaves and flowers and mounted onto a white background, possibly mica. Ornate rolled gold surround. Brooch measures 4 cm by 4.7 cm. Basically in very good condition.
