Very lovely Victorian ornate gold locket. It has an approx. 15ct gold backplate with engine turned engraving and a blank disc in the middle where initials can be engraved,. The reverse side is a photo panel under glass. The edges and bow of the locket are rolled gold in excellent condition - no wear. Item measures 32 mm diameter and 9 mm thick. Including the swivel bow, it would be 48 mm long by 32 mm wide. Excellent condition. Circa 1880s.   « Less

Small fob or pendant watch, circa 1900. The case is 14ct rose gold over 800 silver with German hallmarks. The rear of the watch has engraved flowers with a little ruby stone as the centre of one, and an opal as the centre of the other. Perfect white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and little silver chapters. Fine filigree gold hands. Dial is in excellent condition. The glass has scratches and abrasions commensurate with wear and use - but this can be replaced if necessary. The movement has no visible maker's marks, but has at least four visible jewels. Stem wind - winds smoothly appears to run well but as we have not had it overhauled, there are no guarantees for accuracy or reliability. Watch measures 3 cm diameter and 1.1 cm thick. Altogether a lovely watch with an unusually decorated back.   « Less

Oval late 1800s cameo, pink shell, high relief carving of a woman with feathers in her hair. Etruscan style mount. There is a hallmark on the hook, looks like the French import mark for Seurre, or the leaf mark for 585 gold (14 carat). No other marks that I can see except a V between two dots which is probably the maker's mark - the gold around the raised area of the mount, surrounding the shell is more like a tarnished silver colour, but my gold tester reads it all as between 14 carat and 18 carat. Brooch measures 3.3 cm by 2.7 cm. Very good condition, very pretty unusual colour.   « Less

Glossy jet bracelet with a well carved face of two entwined rings with bow, and alternating panels of Greek key design and carved geometric designs. (Whitby jet: carbon-containing fossilised wood, like coal). Expanding bracelet, Victorian, circa 1880s. One minor chip to top of a geometric panel, otherwise perfect. Bracelet is 3.3 cm deep at the front, and 3.7 cm deep on the sides and rear. Probably originally a piece of mourning jewellery.   « Less
