circa: 1900 width: 46 height: 49 length: 21 This beautiful antique mahogany dresser was hand-crafted from solid wood in Late Victorian England around 1900. Since then, the mahogany has acquired the loveliest of patinas, which enriches the naturally pleasant complexion and distinct grain. The shell-shaped knobs, which are a bit darker than the rest of the dresser, complement the wood very well, as does the grooved moulding at the top and base of the dresser. Each of the six drawers features brass escutcheons--unfortunately the dresser does not retain its key--front and rear hand-cut dovetailed joints, and offers generous storage space. The bottom drawer actually comprises part of the sturdy plinth base, which is a unique feature and allows the drawer to offer even more storage space than usual, while the mahogany dresser rests on removable casters for easy movement, although they have been worn to a point that they are not very mobile. There is some minor wear on this mahogany dresser, but overall cosmetic condition remains excellent, especially given the great age of this dresser. Meanwhile, structural integrity remains incomparably strong. This antique Victorian mahogany dresser will certainly continue to function beautifully for generations to come, so making it a part of your home would be a great investment! « Less

circa: 1910 width: 44 height: 32 length: 25 This stunning antique walnut Queen Anne dresser was hand-crafted in England around 1910, during the Edwardian period. At this time, there was a resurgence in England and America of the Queen Anne style, which originally took place in 1702-1714. This particular dresser exhibits many of the finest traits of the Queen Anne style, including the typical wood choice of the style, walnut. In this case, the dresser was made with a stunning variety of burl walnut, which after a hundred years has developed a lovely patina that enriches the distinct burl walnut grain and complexion. The walnut looks especially beautiful because of a recent hand-restoration, which was performed by a third-generation English cabinetmaker before being imported directly to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA, USA. The solid-brass hardware contrasts beautifully with the burl walnut, as does the walnut crossbanding around the top and drawer fronts, while the characteristically Queen Anne shaped apron, cabriole legs and flowing serpentine design also make for an elegant appearance. As useful as it is beautiful, this Queen Anne style walnut dresser also contains a convenient brush slide and three large, strong drawers, each featuring hand-cut dovetailed joints, which were a common feature of antique furniture that indicated fine craftsmanship. Because of its excellent original construction and its recent restoration, this exquisite Queen Anne walnut dresser will last for generations to come, all the while providing convenient storage, so it would certainly make a fine investment for any home furniture collection! « Less

circa: 2000 width: 37 height: 36 length: 21 This exquisite restored antique bachelors chest is the product of a full restoration of an English RAF bachelors chest, dating back to just after the Second World War, most likely about 1960. Included in the restoration was a selection of stunning burl walnut veneers and new brass swan neck pulls. Each drawer boasts strong dovetailed joints, while shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support. The sides were not replaced during the restoration, although they were refinished, so they still display some of the minor original wear marks and scuffs. « Less
