Outstanding example of American Belleek which is the forerunner of Lenox. Lenox was refused the right to use the word American Belleek as Belleek was an Irish porcelain and it confused the market. This is a truly lovely set with a little bit of Greek Gothic in it's style. It has a lovely cream base, creamy light blue background with rose pink roses on an artist signature (in the most difficult place under the handles "Florence" artistic design. It would compliment a fireplace mantle and be so inviting as a great conversation piece. This is an equisite Chocolate pot from the mid-twenty century. It is hand painted with some transferred leaves for additional embellishment. It stand 10 inches tall and is 8 inches from spout to handle. The handle is placed at an angle due to the swirl crimp pattern of the porcelain which is very unique and attractive. It has flowers reminiscent of an early English garden,with lilias, hydranges, and small buds. The gold is without flak and there are no crack, chips or scratches on this piece.
