Apothecary Advertising Porcelain Cups Austria 1900-1920s American products advertising and premiums were at their height when Cudahy"s Rexoma offered the Austrian porcelain cups in the late nineteenth century through the 1920's This product , a tonic, was sold by pharmacies across the country. This group of twelve cups are in very good condition and are in the two rose patterns of they day. Condition: GOOD Twelve cups in better than good condition. Antique Chiclets Counter Display Box with glass top. Produced by Leer's Chewing Gum, this was used for store counter top display to sell gum. Lift top glass lid with pull tab and Chiclets emblem sticker on front. Originally, I believe there was a lift off top covering the glass lid, which is no longer here. The glass is intact, with no cracks. The spearmint leaf-covered paper that surrounds the box has some wear and a few spots of slight tearing. Where the glass lid lifts, there is a partial separation on right side, resulting in a slight dip on that side when closed. But overall, this is amazingly well-preserved. There were even some loose chiclets inside! (will include if you like). On the back side, there is a label by the Frank H. Fleer & Co. factory with serial number (2059), date of 1906 and a warning to would be imitators to restrain from copying their product or packaging. Fabulous old Paper Covered Biscuit Tin from Huntley & Palmers, of Reading, England. Founded in 1822, this was once the largest biscuit factory in the world, and was awarded 2 grand prizes "for home consumption". This particular tin does show its age, with paper wear and tearing. There is no top. But the main graphics and lettering are wonderful. The label is green and red with stylized lettering. The tin itself is good, with no dents. Advertisement on bottom of tin.
