circa: 1960 width: 51 height: 32 length: 23 This reproduction antique serpentine chest of drawers was hand-crafted in France around 1960 and recently imported to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta, GA, USA. Over the years, the mahogany has begun to develop a lovely patina, which enriches the distinct grain and complexion of the wood, and which will continue to grow more beautiful as time passes. The intricately worked carvings along the face of this chest also look quite wonderful, as do the solid brass pulls and cabriole legs; the result, in combination with the serpentine shape of this chest, is a distinctively French, organic appearance that is sure to make an impression in any setting. As functional as it is beautiful, this chest contains two large drawers, each featuring hand-cut dovetails, and it remains as sturdy as ever. This chest has sustained some superficial wear, however, including several small scratches and stress marks, the most of obvious of which are on the top. Overall, however, this French reproduction antique chest of drawers remains in very good condition. « Less

circa: 2000 width: 37 height: 33 length: 21 This gorgeous walnut marquetry chest of drawers is hand-crafted in England by a team of master craftsmen. The wood has been hand-distressed, hand-finished and hand-waxed to produce a rich, lustrous complexion and distinct grain. The distinct marquetry inlays, which follow a traditional inlay technique first developed during the Italian Renaissance and were introduced to England after 1660, are composed of oak, satinwood and walnut. The principle wood used in this marquetry chest is a lovely selection of burl walnut. Antiqued solid-brass escutcheons and swan neck style pulls contrast beautifully with the wood, while the simple, smooth edges and shaped bracket feet grant the piece an elegant simplicity that complements the intricate marquetry inlays. In addition to being a fine example of antique-style English craftsmanship, this marquetry chest also provides plenty of storage, featuring a classic two-over-three drawer design, with each of the drawers constructed with hand-cut dovetails. As was common in the antique furniture after which this chest is modeled, every drawer locks, thus providing convenient security if you choose to store valuables or other items. Whether you are looking for a decorative antique-style masterpiece or a functional chest of drawers to store your things, this marquetry chest will serve your needs for generations to come, so take this chance to make it a part of your home furniture collection! « Less

circa: 1890 width: 41 height: 57 length: 3 This beautiful antique mahogany mirror was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890. Over the years, the flame mahogany has developed a lovely patina that deepens its distinct grain and lustrous complexion to produce an incredibly rich appearance that is sure to make a bold impression in any setting. Fluted sides, accentual paneling and an elegantly beveled mirror complement the wood beautifully. Having been constructed using the finest techniques and materials, this Victorian mirror remains in excellent condition, with a strong structure and only minimal spotting on the mirror. Spotting occurs on all mirrors as the metal beneath the surface ages. On the back of the mirror a sturdy rope has been installed for hanging. This gorgeous Victorian mahogany mirror would make a great addition to any home or office furniture collection! « Less
