desk c1865 Antique American cherry Victorian partners desk c1865 with green leather top in excellent condition. The desk comes in three sections, the two raised paneled banks with drawers and cabinets, along with the entire top section, designed for easy moving. When this desk was made it was delivered by horse and wagon. One side has drawers and cabinet space and the other side two cabinets. Made by hand from the finest matching solid American cherry boards. It is one of the most beautiful and well made partners desk from this period that we have ever come by. Measures 60 inches wide by 36 inches deep and 30.75 inches high.The 28 inch high by 22.5 inch opening allows for plenty of leg room. This is a "Tambour" roll top work station that is also mobile, having the signature Toledo "spider" mechanism, allowing for easy moving on its 4 casters (all in excellent shape and original), and a solid "set" where ever one might wish to locate it. It measures : 17" w x 24"d when closed . and the work area is 17"d x 45" w, when open. It has 4 slots for papers at the rear with a pencil/pen tray above at the rear of the roll top. This piece has not been restored or refurbished, it is all original and VERY well kept...The laminated plywood work surface is in amazing shape with wear only slightly consistent with age and use, (ink stain,glass ring).
