Antique Art Deco white gold and rock crystal bracelet. Made 1920''s. Measurements: Weighs 10.2 grams. 7 1/4 inches long. Gorgeous Art Deco design combining high quality workmanship: Bracelet consists of rectangles of graded sizes joined by decorated belt-like loops. Each rectangle has a square loop by which it is joined to the next segment. There are two kinds of decoration on the rectangles: the smaller pieces with slightly concave, rounded sides have extremely fine filigree patterns. Gold studs in the design catch and play with light, in immitation of diamonds or other gemstones. The 3 larger rectangles have similar filigree openwork patterns around the borders, but the rectangular reserves are set with rock crystal, cut with a radiating, sunburst like design and set in the center with a colette mounted gem. The middle stone is a diamond (tested to be genuine). The green stones on the sides were not identified. 14k gold confirmed by testing. Good condition with no damage of any sort. Antique, Victorian/Edwardian Suffragist bar pin in enamel on 10-12k gold. Made late 19th to first decade of 20th century. Measures 2 inches long. Weighs 3.3grams. Long, More »
Antique, Victorian/Edwardian Suffragist bar pin in enamel on 10-12k gold. Made late 19th to first decade of 20th century. Measures 2 inches long. Weighs 3.3grams. Long, rectangular with rounded ends. The surface is beautifully enamelled with flowers. A pansy in the center, often used as a Suffragist symbol because of the colours (violet and white). In this case a little more pink, but the symbol remains. Beautiful blue and white tubular morning glory flowers border the pansy, with foliage on the sides (providing the green for G). Very fine workmanship. THe colours are an exceptionally delicate range of hues and very sensitively depicted, which must have taken an excellent craftsman to produce in enamel. Good condition. No damage/loss. Status: For Sale Reference#: 4118 Condition: good Year: 1899 Title: ANTIQUE SUFFRAGIST ENAMEL GOLD BAR PIN PANSY MORNING GLORY « Less

Antique ( late Victorian / Edwardian ) Belle Epoque lavalier necklace made of 14 carat gold, natural zircons and natural pearls. Circa 1890-1910. Weighs 5.3grams. Total length approx 15inches. Lavalier 2 3/4 inches accross (side to side) and 2 inches top to bottom. Exquisitely fine workmanship and design. Delicate gold scrolls adorned with tiny flower and foliage shaped colettes, each containing a tiny natural pearl. Near the top and suspended at the bottom, is a larger, blue zircon (natural stone), that gives just the right amount of colour to add extra interest to the necklace. The fine and delicate nature of the piece is typical of the Edwardian and Belle Epoque era and this is a particularly fine example. Lovely quality. The back of the lavalier is hallmarked for 14k gold. The manufacturer''s mark looks like a fish, but is unknown to us. Good condition. Museum piece!! Antique carved ivory suite - earrings and brooch in original, fitted box. Carved in Dieppe, France, circa 1850-60. Dieppe was the most famous center for this kind of carving in the 19th century and this is an outstanding example. Box a little over 6 inches long, shaped to accommodate the 3 pieces inside, sitting on a rich velvet bottom with silk-lined lid. Brooch measures a little under 2 3/4 inches long. Earrings about 1 1/8 inches long, not including the silver wires. Carved berries, wheat, roses - all subjects with strong symbolic meanings about love and romance that would convey a clear message to the Victorians. The carving is superlative - incredibly fine details, richly interwoven/intertwining parts that took the best master craftsman to accomplish. The depth of the brooch is about 3/4 an inch - indicating how full the carving is. Set with silver fittings. It is unlikely that this set was ever worn as it is in such good condition - I found no damage of any sort. Status: For Sale Reference#: 4129 Condition: good Year: 1850 Title: MUSEUM PIECE! Antique ring serving as an amulet - a token against bad luck / to bring good luck to the wearer. Made of silver set with a large stone, which might be amber or carnelian. Very old - well over 100 years old, but not possible to date more exactly. Originates in India. Ring is large and can be worn by a man. It is a US size 11, measuring 1 inch accross at the widest part. Set in silver with simple filigree decoration around the pulled silver (collet) that holds the stone in place. The stone is engraved by hand. We don''t know which is the right way up, so we showed it both ways. Clearly worn by previous generations, the ring is nevertheless in good condition. Antique 22 carat gold filigree earrings. Made about 100 years ago, or more, in India. Measure7/8 inches in diameter. Weigh 11.4 grams. Outstanding filigree and gold More »
Antique 22 carat gold filigree earrings. Made about 100 years ago, or more, in India. Measure7/8 inches in diameter. Weigh 11.4 grams. Outstanding filigree and gold craftsmanship. From the front, earrings are a swirling disk of concentric circles. Beginning with a large half-globe in the center with radiating lines leading to smaller bud-shaped globes. Around this is a ring of gold wire, curved to face right and connected to a border of fine filigree. The outer border is a double ring of gold granulation - alternating with each other to form an openwork pattern. The back of the earrings in the form of a large, hollow tube, ending in a collar of double granulation. This would have gone through the vastly distended holes in the earlobes of the original owner of the earrings. A pair of loops would probably have supported additional dangling decorations. Fortunately, it was easy to accommodate the modern wearer by simply adding a modern loop, suitable for regular pierced ears. This was done without compromising the wonderful original construction of the earrings. Very good condition. No damage of any sort. Good antique Mughal / Indian jewellery combines the wonders of ages gone by with amazing design and delicacy executed by outstanding craftsmen and is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain as it grows in appreciation throughout the world. An ear ornament excavated from Taxila in the Punjab and dating to the 1st century AD (now in a museum in Pakistan), with many similarities to this pair of earrings (if somewhat less refined), is shown on page 68 of Usha R Bala Krishnan and Meera Sushil Kumar''s book, Dance of the Peacock. Antique 24 carat gold earrings set with rubies. Made in Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalaya area of northwestern India at least 100 years ago. 2 inches long, excluding the loops and weigh a whopping 43.2 grams together. Stunning earrings. Due to their exceptional size and weight it has been suggested that they should be used as lavaliers or pendants on a necklace. Egg shaped with a raised border / plate on both sides. The surface has extraordinary applied filigree and repousse decoration - scrolls, flowers, buds, granulation. Bottom of one side is set with a gemstone that tests as a genuine ruby (not glass/synthetic). The pink stone is set in a raised, openwork flower. Back is similarly decoration with beautiful design , if not quite as rich. Original gaps for earlobes, but to facilitate the modern woman who does not have the hugely distended holes in her ears, a modern loop has been added (which does not compromise the original earring in any way). Good condition. Good antique Mughal / Indian jewellery combines the wonders of ages gone by with amazing design and delicacy executed by outstanding craftsmen and is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain as it grows in appreciation throughout the world. In her book on Indian earrings, pg 120, Waltraud Ganguly explains that these earrings, called Mundran, were originally worn by rich landowners. We can test up to 18K gold, but Ganguly explains that these are always 24 carats, which, along with the intricate workmanship made them very expensive. Due to their cost/value, they are not made any longer and even in previous centuries, were only worn on special occasions.
