From the materials used to the production process, its quality is exceptional. The satinwood, for instance, displays a rich grain and lustrous complexion that could only be produced by the hand-rubbed finish that makes this chest such a beautiful piece of antique style furniture. String inlays and solid brass Georgian-style hardware complement the satinwood beautifully, while the shaped apron and splayed feet also look quite lovely. The burl walnut displays a fine, distinct grain and rich complexion. Antiqued brass hardware, including swan neck style drop pulls and escutcheons, complements the walnut beautifully. The top of the desk features an inlaid writing surface of black leather, which looks incredible against the wood.
