Own this authentic symbolic piece of Japanese culture, art and history - a genuine antique Japanese Tsuba - sword hilt or guard of the katana nihonto - curved Samurai sword from the Edo Period (1603-1867) of feudal Japan. The piece was crafted and signed by Toryuken Shoyu (1790 - 1841) on the left and in gold inlay also. Shoyu was a student of the famous tsuba maker from Kyoto, Tetsugendo Seiraku. Circa late 1700s - early 1800s. Dimensions: approx. 3" X 3". This tsuba comes with a handmade Kiriwood display box with upholstered cushion bed and custom made upholstered blade shape position centering nub to maximize the display and safety of your fine authentic tsuba (see photo). « Less
