Sold in small groups or one bundle of 12 for $300. These are 12 mint condition Issues of The Miami University Tomahawk. Created in the 1940's after the GI bill was passed. Was famous for their quirky comics and their indian mascot with the oversized nose. In 1956 the Tomahawk was finally put out of print, being labeled as a bit too racey and in bad taste. Great for collectors of the University's History and antique magazine collectors alike. Likely to make one chuckle at the contents.   « Less

Gorgeous Pictorial Review Magazine in amazing condition. With cover art from Haskell Coffin, this October 1916 "Fall Fashion Number" magazine is full of advertisements (Campbells, Cream of Wheat, Old English, Rogers Bros, Fairy Soap, etc...and of course, corsets!), illustrations, stories, articles and fashion features. Special higher content issue...pages numbered to 84. Large size, measuring approximately 16"x 11". In amazing condition, with only minor wear to edges and a small piece torn on back cover bottom corner. There is also a light crease mark on left side of front cover. I did discover a few pages cleanly torn out (35-36 and 45-50). Otherwise, this has been amazingly well preserved (part of a collector's estate). With cover art from Francis Miller, this July 1915 issue is full of advertisements (including Coca Cola, Grape-Nuts, Quaker Oats, Cream of Wheat, Hinds Cream, Ivory Soap, etc.), illustrations, stories, recipes, articles and fashion features. Large size, measuring approximately 16"x 11" (60 pages). In excellent condition, with only minor wear to edges....no tears or ripped pages. I did discover a few pages cleanly torn out from center (29-32....an article on mince-meat!). Otherwise, this has been amazingly well preserved (part of a collector's estate).
