This is a marvelous antique semi-flush brass chandelier, circa 1920’s, with its original holophane shades. This pan light begins with a simple brass canopy, with a brass body ending in a finial. The chandelier arms are ornamented with a plant in an urn, ending in a volute. Each arm supports a dangling shade holder with a prismatic glass shade. This semi-flush mount light fixture is in excellent condition; the glass is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. This Tudor chandelier begins with a fantastic hammered, gadrooned canopy coming down in a pole to the chandelier body. Five cast iron arms extend upward, supporting downward-facing bobeches with a hammered, cutout border. The arms are connected by elegant brass shields, each with a fleur de lis in the center. The chandelier finishes in a hammered brass finial. This is a handsome antique five-light semi flush mount chandelier, circa 1920’s, made of bronze and iron. This Spanish Revival chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with foliate detail, coming down in a rod to hammered bronze volutes that support the chandelier body. The body is formed of a wide iron ring accented with shields framed in volutes. Five bracket-shaped arms, adorned with volutes and ending in spears, support hanging bobeches with cutout borders. Underneath, the chandelier features an intricate design of shells and volutes, finishing in a dangling bronze finial at the center. This Tudor chandelier begins with a hammered canopy with a crimped edge, coming down in five iron bands to a twisted, wrought iron double ring. The two rings are connected by hammered decorative straps between the chandelier arms. Each arm holds an iron bobeche with a crimped edge; an amber snuffer shade hangs over each light. Cast iron, painted polychrome five light chandelier made by Globe in the 1930s. Globe is a unique company and not as common as Lincoln or Markel but they did some very exciting things. Their brand name was Electrolier and while some folks assume that there was a company named Electrolier, it was simply a brand that Globe marketed and impressed into many of their castings. While the polychrome painting is pretty darn nice...there is a bit of an extra bonus in painting. When someone painted the ceiling, where this chandelier was living, they sort of missed a bit and added some paint to the ceiling canopy. I am sure with a bit of patience, most... if not all...of it will come off, but we like to supply antiques as found and will let the new owner decide removal methods. This chandelier is a five light which has been rewired with five new sockets and lead wire. Each socket can handle a 100 watt bulb, so 500 watts is quite possible with this light. The shades are in wonderful condition without any chips or cracks. NONE. Measurements: 15 inches from the top of the ceiling canopy to the bottom of the ceiling bowl. It has a diameter from shade tip to shade tip of 17 inches. For the proper decorative scheme, this would be an outstanding example of an Art Deco chandelier. Note the frame is beautifully cast of iron with nice detail and clarity of casting. 85% of the finish is just about mint. Rewired with new porcelain sockets and central lead wire and comes with a complete mounting kit...so.... this chandelier is ready to hang and begin life in a different art deco or bungalow atmosphere. Great for a lower ceiling with an overall height of only 15". Price: $750.00 plus shipping.   « Less
