Very stylish, very deco, Manning Bowman electric desk clock. Brass finish is a knockout! Absolutely no dings or dents, no scratches. The face is also in excellent condition with no staining or fading. All knobs are intact and working. Clock works well, but does make some slight noise. Probably should be rewired for safety, but as with all vintage clocks we recommend that you use this for decoration rather than function.   « Less

Very nice butterscotch catalin alarm clock by Telechron. Called the Imp, or sometimes the mustache clock because of the shape of the top of the clock. The amber color is deep and rich, and the catalin is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or scratches anywhere. All functions working. There is a small stain on the face. This is a matched pair of petite machine age chrome and catalin lamps. They are rather small (please see dimensions) but absolutely perfect for a nightstand or special vanity. These are mood setting lamps, not reading lamps. Be sure to note the very beautiful chrome bases with stylish stepped chrome and catalin stems. The lamps are free of visible damages and repairs. Very clean and showing only minor age. No pitting or rust. The butterscotch catalin is a perfect foil for the chrome, and it's also in very good clean condition with no breaks, chips, or cracks. These lamps look like they were never used. The cloth shades are new, but have a vintage feel, and are well suited for the set. There's no way to tell what the original shades looked like, but these seem to compliment the bases nicely. The maroon contrasts with the chrome, and the gold in the design is almost a perfect match for the catalin butterscotch. They almost look made for each other. The lamps have been rewired for safety with the original bakelite plugs. Just a great set of lamps for any intimate setting!   « Less

This is a matched pair of Ronson lamps with mica shades. Signed AMW (American Metal Works) Newark, NJ. The metal base is free of visible damages and repairs. Even the intricate metal work around the shades at top and bottom is totaly intact with no breakage. The mica shades are replacements. They were made by Nan at NYMARTS, a very talented local artist. They're very well done and copied as closely as possible from the original. The lamps have been rewired for safety with the original bakelite plugs. We rarely come across these. We found no markings on it, which is very unusual considering the exceptional quality of the lamp. It has a beautifully designed cast metal base and top, which I believe to be brass. But what makes this piece really spectacular is a frosted glass shade, with exceptionally detailed paintings of nudes dancing among the forest trees. The shade features a nude on each side surrounded by trees. The shade appears amber when lit, green when not. When illuminated it's just breathtaking! The condition is very good, showing only appropriate age. No cracks, chips, or damage to the metal or glass. Features original brass switch and bakelite plug. Wiring appears to be in usable condition, but as with all vintage electronics we recommend having it checked by a professional. It's really a spectacular mood lamp that just grabs your attention the minute you walk in the room! You will not be disappointed! The photos of the lit lamp say it all.   « Less

We're always happy to find one of these 'Gown Girl' lamps. This one is lovely! She has a very clean mercury shade, no loss of gold paint on the inside and only very mild rim fitter roughness. It puts out very nice, even orange glow when lit, and beautiful nearly flawless mirror finish when not. She has been rewired for safety, and retains her original bakelite plug. Switch is also present and working. Finish is not original, but looks lovely. No cracks or dents on base or figure, and no runs or chips on the finish. This one is getting harder and harder to find, especially with a clean mercury shade. She always sells quickly, so dont' wait too long!   « Less

Another gorgeous Frankart silhouette lamp. Signed and in very good condition. No breaks, or cracks to the metal base or figure. She's just stunning! The socket has been replaced, but we used a very high end new brass socket with switch. In time it will pick up it's own patina and blend in beautifully with the lamp. Wiring is new for safety but with the original bakelite plug. White glass panel is very heavy and beautiful. There are just a few tiny flea bites around the edges, unavoidable but unnoticeable. No cracks or large chips. All in all she's a wonderful example, clean and signed.   « Less

The frosted glass panel is probably not original, but it fits perfectly and looks beautiful. She's obviously a quality lamp although we haven't been able to find any markings on her. She's been totally rewired but retains the original bakelite switch and beautifully aged socket. She's an absolutely stunning mood lamp! This is a small perfume lamp made by Devilbiss. When lit the white shade gives off a warm pink glow while whatever perfume you prefer scents the room. These lamps are almost always missing the little perfume cup that fits over the bulb, but this one is complete, a very rare thing! The metal finish is in very good condition with no rust or pitting, just the expected wear. The glass is in remarkably good condition with only a few small flea bites on the very bottom & top edges, none visible when assembled, and barely visible when not. The paint on the shade is in excellent condition with only 1 very small spot where the paint rubbed away. It's only noticable when you really look for it, and just mentioned for accuracy. Looks to be the original wiring, uses a small bulb with a candelabra size base. This is an exceptionally clean, complete, and very nice example of a popular mood lamp. Don't hesitate too long, these always sell, and it would make an excellent gift for someone special!   « Less
