THIS ITEM IS SOLD - Scarce figural cast iron andirons in the shape of sitting cats with green glass marble eyes through which the fire glows, accompanied by matching very rare original cast iron three piece fire tool set comprised of a shovel, broom and poker in their original cast iron stand. The tool handles also in the shape of sitting cats measure 5 3/4"H. The andirons measure 17"H. X 16" D. X 6 3/4" W. Manufactured by the Tenn Chrome Plate Co. of Nashville Tennessee and labeled T.C.C.,. Circa 1920, in excellent original condition, $1,250.00 the complete set. A stunning pair of antique figural Art Deco fireplace andirons in the shape of dogs, with a matching set of fireplace tools and a stand. Dating from the 1920’s, this unusual cast iron set was made and signed by the Tennessee Chrome Plate Company, Nashville. Each andiron features an imposing sitting dog, with miniaturized versions forming the handles of the poker, shovel, and brush. Each andiron is 18†tall, 7-3/4†wide, and approx. 16†deep. The stand (with the tools in their places) is 30-1/4†tall, 15†wide, and 9†deep overall.

Impressive antique oak mantel with beveled glass mirror and ionic columns, dating from 1910. This fireplace mantel begins in a squared-off top, moving down to an egg trim shelf that overhangs the mirror. A beautiful beveled glass mirror is flanked on either side by tall and narrow ionic columns. The columns support the upper shelf, moving all the way down to the base of the mantel. Below the mirror extends a shelf with beaded trim that is carried by three decorative brackets. This mantel is in very good antique condition, with a beautiful dark finish and some small holes as pictured. The mantel measures approx. 84-1/2†tall, 59-3/4†wide, and 13-1/2†deep; the firebox opening is approx. 41-1/2†wide and 36†tall. « Less

Marvelous antique walnut mantel, found in Philadelphia and dating from approximately 1860. The fireplace mantel features a beveled top edge; below the projecting shelf are decorative rosettes and a garland and bow center panel. Below is a band of bead and reel trim. On both sides of the fireplace acanthus leaf brackets curve down to meet baluster-shaped legs. The mantel legs feature gadrooning and beveled details. This mantel is in very good antique condition, with some chips and wear to the paint as pictured. An astonishing pair of antique figural fireplace andirons with dragons, dating from the 19th Century, found in Cincinnati, Ohio. These large andirons are made of cast bronze with some verdigris. Each andiron features an urn at the bottom, flanked by a finely cast pair of dragons. The urn is ornamented with a floral design; the column above is ornamented with acanthus leaves. Striking antique quarter-sawn oak fireplace mantel with a beveled mirror, dating from the early 1900s. This Art Nouveau style mantel features intricate carving and a gorgeous tiger-stripe grain in the wood. The top of the mantel features beveled levels, coming down to a panel with raised vine leaf carvings around the outer edges. This section is supported by round columns with foliate capitals that extend all the way down. The beveled mirror is surrounded by a decorative tooth trim, and below is a projecting shelf with rounded edges. The shelf is supported by pilaster capital brackets with raised scrolling foliage carved below. Each mantel leg features a second round pilaster with decorative capital. This mantel is in very good antique condition with some water marks as pictured and a nicely aged mirror. The mantel measures approximately 60†wide, 90" tall and 11" deep; the firebox opening is 41-1/2" wide and 36-1/4" tall. « Less
