Very beautiful porcelain bathroom set made by Vesta. This set includes a small pitcher, large pitcher, large bowl, large vase pitcher and a pot with a lid. There are red flowers and green leave designs around the pieces and lots of gold trim throughout. The vase that sits in the bowl has been repaired, it seems there may have been handles on the sides. For the age of this set it is in very good condition. The large bowl is 4 ¾” tall and around it is 15” and weighs 6 lbs. The pot w/lid is 7 ¾” tall and side to side it is 10 1/2” and front to back it is 8 ¾” and weighs 5 lbs. The large pitcher is 8 1/8” tall and side to side it is 7 ½” and front to back it is 5” and weighs 2 lbs. The small pitcher is 4 1/8” tall and side to side it is 4 ¾” and front to back it is 3” and weighs 1 lb and on the bottom of the pitcher it has the number 1399. The large vase inside the bowl is 11 5/8” tall and side to side it is 11” and front to back it is 8 ½” and weighs 6 lbs. VESTA is also on the bottom of the pieces. The top has a scalloped edge. On the bottom it has Weller Pottery Since 1872 and G 13, there is also a red mark another indication of being a Weller item. There is oatmeal, tea, flour, coffee, rice, sugar, cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg and ginger. They are not perfect. There are hair line cracks on some of them. We have pictures showing this. They are vintage, although we do knot know the exact age or date they were made. The large ones are 8 1/2 inches tall by 5 inches. The small ones are 5 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches. What we have here is an amazing set of 76 pieces of Johnson Brothers, "Old Britain Castles" china. This is an 8 place setting with the following extras included: 2 plates, 1 salad plate, 1 dessert plate, 2 bowls, 4 saucers, 3 cups, 1 platter, 3 serving bowls, 1 gravy boat, 1 sugar & lid and 1 creamer. Again, these are the EXTRA pieces in addtion to the setting for 8. There is a small chip in one cup, a crack in another, and a few small chips in two serving bowls. This appears to be the only damage! When you consider the age of this set and the amount of pieces that is quite impressive! The measurements of the pieces are as follows: the plate is 1" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep, the salad plate is 5/8" tall x 8 1/8" round, the dessert plate is 1/2" tall x 8 1/8" round, the bowls are 1 1/4" tall x 8 1/8" round, the custard bowls are 1 1/8" tall x 5 1/4" round, the saucers are 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" round and the cups are 2 1/4" tall x 4 3/8" wide x 3 5/8" deep. The total weight with the extra's is 48lbs. With no reserve, this is an amazing collection of one of Johnson Brothers greatest patterns that anyone would be proud to own.
