This is a wonderful antique iron exterior sconce, signed by its maker, the N. L. & S. Co., and marked with a 1924 patent date. The sconce features a cast iron back plate accented with a floret on each side and ornamented at the top and bottom with a fleur de lis and volutes. A squared arm extends from the center of the back plate, supporting a hexagonal, flared lantern with a sloped roof, crowned with a finial. The lantern has panels of clear granite glass. Below the lantern, the sconce arm is ornamented with a floret design and a finial. This wall lamp is in very good antique condition, with a few small separations (pictured) that are barely noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce is 14” tall, 7 ½” wide, and has a 9” projection. Item #: NSP352-RW   « Less

This is a fabulous pair of antique pewter sconces, dating from the 1930’s. Each of the double-arm sconces features a beautifully cast back plate crowned with volutes and acanthus leaves, and draped with leaves and volutes down the sides. The base of the back plate, wreathed in foliate detail, features a square leaf accent in the center, from which the sconce arms extend to either side. Each arm, ornamented with leaves, ends in a squared foliate cluster and supports a cutout bobeche. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. This is a large antique four-light sconce, dating from the early 1900’s. The sconce features a shield-shaped back plate, crowned with volutes and ornamented with an intricately cast acanthus leaf at the base. A splendid wrought iron arm, fastened to the back plate at the center and the top, curves upward to support a four-light chandelier that hangs from the arm by a loop finial. The chandelier body is composed of two iron pieces, bent at top and bottom into volutes and adorned with acanthus appliqués. At the center of the chandelier is a large, torch-shaped bobeche with a fleur-de-lis border. The bobeche holds a cluster of four lights. The bottom of the sconce finishes in a beautifully cast acorn finial. This wall lamp is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce is approx. 22” tall, 11 3/8” wide, and has a projection of approx. 14 ¾”. Item #: NSP349-RW   « Less

This is a delightful pair of antique single-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s, in their original polychrome finish. The sconces are signed by their maker, the L. & M. Company. The back plate of each sconce features a volute-crowned anthemion with subtle pink accents and a delicate blue beaded border with geometric detail. The center of the back plate is ornamented with a floret button. The sconce arm, with volute and foliate detail, extends from the bottom of the back plate, ending in an intricate bobeche with bead and volute accents. The wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
