Up for your consideration is a late 19th century watercolor in a superb period frame by listed artist Hercules Brabazon Brabazon (1821-1906), lived, active in UK. This painting signed lower left. A fine Meditteranean scene (we assume), likely Italy. The entire piece measures approx. 27 1/2"x 20 1/2". The frame has some damage, with chips and repairs but still looks very nice and is in good structural condition. The painting itself is in very good condition. Note the faint sailboats in the distance. « Less

A signed and numbered lithograph by listed French artist Camille Hilaire. Hiliare was born August 2nd, 1916 in Metz, France. Hilaire obtained many prizes and rewards: State travel exhibition, 1947. Venice prize, 1949, Astral prize, 1950; Casa Velasquez prize, 1950; Society Art Amateur prize, 1958. He participated in numerous exhibition groups, as autumn art, the Independents, May, the Tuileries, of painters witness of their time, etc. Special exhibitions: Paris, 1951, 1957, 1961, 1965; New York, 1954, 1956; Geneva, 1958; etc. Hilaire is known for neo-cubism construction and a wide colored series. Among his genres are orchestra themes, horse racing, and greenhouses. This piece is signed lower right and numbered 88/120 lower left. Provenance on the back shows the title as "Paddock". Lithograph size is 22"x 16 3/4" and with the handsome matching frame it measures 32"x 26". As for condition it looks like this might have been stored in a humid environment. There is rolling to the litho and areas of foxing/possible mildew spots on the bottom. It can be professionaly cleaned. We have cleaned a few items and the difference is remarkable. The brown paper on the back also looks like it has seen moisture. Priced according to condition. « Less

This painting measures almost 8"x 10" and with the frame (under glass) it measures 12 1/4"x 14 1/4". Fantastic brush strokes throughout and calming color scheme. The frame has paint loss but the painting is in excellent condition. The back has some provenance- artist name, title, original price ($25) and the frame store. An important piece for Connecticut and its residence, but also a wonderful piece of art. « Less

For sale we have a southwestern genre watercolor, artist signed lower right Thore. The painting measures 21"x 14" and with the frame it measures 29"x 22". A very minor rolling in the painting, barely noticeable, otherwise very nice condition. The painting looks to depict a Pueblo style building in the background. A brown paper on the back. Our searches revealed nothing about the artist or time frame. « Less
