A Modern Chinese Export Blue and White Huge Punch Bowl measuring 15 3/4" in diameter and 6" in depth. This is a copy of a 19TH. Century Blue Nanking/Canton Punch Bowl. Notice the pagoda and the person crossing the bridge. Has all the attributes of the old bowls but can easily be identified as a 20th century bowl. No marks on the bottom. We purchased it a few years ago at Elder's Auctions a well known auction house in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This bowl makes a great presence in the dining room on a Sideboard. The old ones in Blue Canton would cost 10 Times as much. A nice decorative bowl at a reasonable price. On our web site at this time we have a period C.1800 Blue and White Nanking 24" Platter that is in Perfect Condition.   « Less

Circa 1800 European probably German Figure measuring 8 1/4" in height sitting on a tree stump playing a musical instrument that resembles a guitar but is either a banjo, mandolin or a string instrument of this kind. There is a mark under the base which is a X (CROSS)There is a faint mark at the ends of the X which would make you think of a crossed swords mark as in Meissen but I do not think so. There is another mark in blue glaze at the top of the X but we cannot decipher it either.The meissen mark as we all know is a crossed sword, but this could be Volkstedt. Good Condition with only a few firing marks under the base. The basket of flowers has no chips or losses which is usually common. That mark in blue glaze at the top of the X could also be a t, indicating an early mark of Carl Thieme of Dresden and Saxony Porcelain Factory.   « Less

Circa 1770 Chinese Export Very Large Mandarin Palette Mug/Tankard measuring 5 1/2" in height and 4 7/8" in diameter at the top opening. It has a nice dragon shaped handle which is blue. The tankard is decorated in the rose mandarin colourway with a fine painted center panel with five people with castle, mountains and water in the background. They are apparently standing on a veranda. Nice painted blue colors serving as a border for this scene. The rest of the mug has a beautiful peach diapering and flanked by two square panels and two other panels in the shape and form of what appears to be a armour. The Mug is in Perfect Condition and of the Finest Quality Mug that we have had. No Damage at all and No Restoration. Over the years I have had 100's of these chinese mugs and this one rates in the top five of the best ones that we have owned.   « Less

This beautiful little Chinese blue and white porcelain mug/tankard of cylindrical form with a open ear-shaped handle, Kangxi period, Circa 1700-1720. This fine little tavern mug closely parallels the shape of English tankards with it's beautiful handle and ribbed base. Although the original covers are missing there are tin inserts that have been custom made for these bough pots. These pots are not exact pairs as you can see by the images differ slightly. The Quality of the decoration is Excellent and were probably made for the European Market. They measure 8" in height and 5" in width at the top opening.
