Late 19th Century Pair of Classic Busts England. Possibly Wedgwood. Wonderful pair. The woman appears to be Diana the Huntress. Not sure about the male. Both are in bisque. Each measures 10 inches high, 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The base on each measures 3.50 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Both are in excellent condition with no damage whatsoever. The craftsmanship is superb. The condition is excellent. Perfect for the classic library or home.   « Less

Minton parian statue "Dorothea" by the famous artist John Bell. This is an impressively large, fine 19th century Victorian Parian statue of a lovely young woman, sitting on a large rock, with her clothing pulled up to mid-thigh and her shoes beside her. She has a bundle next to her, she is leaning over and looking sideways anxiously. She has very long flowing hair and a finely detailed jacket, one arm is crossed in front of her holding up her clothes. This Dorothea was a character in " Don Quixote" and this statue is modeled from the one by the well known British, Victorian artist John Bell and is so marked. The English registration mark on the side is for August 19, 1847. She is in very good original "as found" condition with a tiny flake on the curved part of her jacket collar and a small slightly grey line on her opposite shoulder which I do not believe is damage but a firing line. She retains her exceptional, pure white color. Fully marked for the fine English porcelain manufacturer, Minton, on the base and side. 14" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 7" deep.   « Less

Charming Victorian Parian statue of the torso of a young child. This smiling young girl is simply dressed in a draped, bow front outfit, the only elaborate detail of this fine small sculpture is the very elaborate hair do which is curled and braided with flowers. Fine white Parian porcelain, unmarked except for the word "Summer" on the rear of the torso. Set on it's original Parian porcelain pedestal. The quality of this piece suggests one of the fine makers of the 19th century. 8" tall x 4 1/2" wide x 3" base diameter. Fine condition.   « Less

Large male parian bust. Marked for the fine English Worcester firm Kerr & Binns, circa 1852. I am unsure of who this is but most parian was of famous literary or historical figures. He is middle-aged man, with finely molded long hair and mutton-chop side burns. His only clothing is a loosely draped top that leaves his neck and some chest exposed. Very good "as found" condition with no damage or repairs, just a little dirty, I will clean him better if desired. Very high quality Victorian parian. 11" tall x 7" wide x 4 5/8" base diameter.   « Less
