These are four matching antique bronze Art Nouveau pocket door plates in P. & F. Corbin’s “Roanoke” pattern, c. 1900. This unusual pocket door hardware features an elegant, asymmetrical design of stylized floral and vine detail, interspersed with a bead pattern. These Art Nouveau pocket door plates are in excellent condition with a gorgeous patina. Each plate measures 5 1/8” tall, 2 ½” wide, and 5/16” deep. This is a wonderful pair of antique cast bronze pocket door plates, circa 1880’s. This pocket door hardware features an intricate design of stylized flowers and leaves, with a diagonal band of geometric detail running across the center. One has a keyhole; the other does not. These are two wonderful antique doorknob sets, in P. & F. Corbin’s “Lorraine” pattern, with their matching back plates. Circa 1905, the back plates feature an anthemion at the top and the bottom, surrounded by volutes and intricate foliate detail. The door knobs feature a looped border intertwined with leaves. These sets are in excellent condition with a beautiful patina. The plates are 2 ¼” wide and 8 ½” tall, and the doorknobs are 2 ¼” wide and approx. 2” deep. These are three matching antique Neoclassical door hardware sets in Yale & Towne’s “Lydian” design, circa 1910. This doorknob set features unusual oval knobs ornamented with shells, beads, and acanthus; the oval backplates feature the same elegant design. This door hardware is in excellent condition. The knobs measure 1 5/8” wide, 2 5/8” tall, and 2” deep; the plates are 2 ½” by 7”. Each hardware set consists of a pair of doorknobs with the connecting rod and two plates. The top and bottom of each door plate is ornamented with a fantastic cast bronze anthemion with delicate cutouts, and the plates are bordered in an intricate leaf-and-dart pattern. This is an unusual pair of antique figural cast bronze door backplates, dating from the late 1800’s and featuring a bird or mythological creature. These magnificent doorplates are ornamented with stylized foliate detail, crowned with the bird’s head at the top of the plate. These door plates are in excellent condition; each measures 7 ¼” by 2”. These are three matching complete sets of antique cast bronze door hardware by F.C. Linde, featuring a five-flower design and including the door knobs, plates, and mortise locks. Dating from the late 1800’s, these sets feature a charming design, with a square crossed with a diagonal band of flowers, and flowers in the opposite corners. This motif is repeated on the knobs, plates, and locks, along with zigzag detail and a shingle pattern. One lock is signed “F.C.L. & Co., Creskill, NJ.” These sets are in very good antique condition; the knobs have some minor wear and one knob has an enlarged set screw hole (pictured) which is barely noticeable and has no effect on the functionality of the set. The doorknobs are 2 ¼” in diameter and 2 ¼” deep, and the backplates are 1 ¾” wide and 5 ½” long. The faceplate of each lock measures 5 ¼” by 15/16”. This is a marvelous antique cast bronze “Windsor” pocket door set by Reading Hardware, circa 1885. The set includes the ornamented lock and two faceplates, ornamented with the distinctive Windsor design of stylized leaves and bands of circles. The plates and the handles are in their original finish with a darkened background and lighter highlights. The set is in excellent condition and functions beautifully.
