For sale I have a Doorstop made by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The subject is a Persian Cat or Kitten sitting watching in curiosity. The Doorstop measures approximately 8 7/8" tall and is 6 1/2" long. The depth of the Doorstop is approximately 4 3/4". Hubley doorstops and toys were mass produced however each item was handpainted to pay attention to the details and this Kitty doesn't fall short of any expectations. She has her Original Paint of Cream with a darker overspray for a nice warm Tan color. She has beautiful Blue Eyes watching attentively with a sparkle in her eyes. The Doorstop is in Excellent Condition and has most of her Original Paint with no touch ups and very minor paint loss or chipping. She has been gently used and there is one chip of the paint on her nose, cheek and one of her ears. These are very minor and do not detract from this delightful feline. The Cat is signed correctly HUBLEY and 302 which is the model number. The Doorstop was made Circa 1930-1938.   « Less

#E914. A very old and highly collectible Mexican ritual dance mask representing a European character, the mask is hand-carved in a very light wood. Original hand painted , shows the patina of the time. It could be cleaned but I 'd rather leave that up to the buyer. The mask is in used shape with lots of wear and you can see it's has some missing paint where you can see the old technique with a layer of gesso or stucco before the paint.. A great mask and a great addition to your collection!!! MEASURES: 11 1/2" X 9 1/2" X 6" DEEP approx.NOTE: Pictures were taken both with and without flash light so you can see the tone of the patina with different types of light. This original pair of Cambridge Lion bookends are somewhat hard to find. The lion, who appears to be standing on a mound, is solid glass, while the base is hollow. With heads turned and mouths open, as if roaring, these majestic creatures are approximately 6" in height and 5" long at the base. Both are free of any nicks, chips or cracks and have incredible clarity. One of the bookends does have just a slight bit of roughness on one end of the base, but this seems to be a result of the molding process.   « Less

circa: 1940 width: 80 height: 64 length: 24 This magnificent antique British galleon reproduction was hand-crafted in England around 1940. Every detail of this ship invokes the former glory of the seas, when British ships just like this one could be seen towering over waters on every corner of the globe. From rigging to interior furniture, the builders spared no room for inaccuracies. Even the quality wood is a sight to behold, as are the extensive rigging and intricately constructed deck. This ship lights up, as well, having been re-wired for outlets in the United States. One could gaze on this ship for a great length of time before taking in every aspect.Condition remains excellent, although the ship does have a few minor flaws: some of the cannons have been replaced, there is a repair near the top of a mast, and in a repair some time ago, the end was inadvertantly shut up by means of a board that prevents it from opening as it once did. Nevertheless, condition remains excellent, and these minor, inconspicuous quirks only add to the charming history of this ship. A specimen of the highest degree of craftsmanship, as well as powerfully symbolic of a bygone glory, this British galleon replica would make an exquisite addition to the best of collections.   « Less
