Extraordinary set of twelve brilliantly colored floral plates. Each plate is a garden filled with poppies, pansies, cornflowers, too many bright flowers to list Around the delicate edge of these plates, framing them to perfection is a heavy bright brushed gold rim. The plates were imported by Ovington Brothers, a well known New York retailer and were made by H &Co. ( Haviland Co.). They are also marked England which is a mystery to me because Haviland was an American company that made it's porcelain in France (Limoge). Excellent original condition, with no visible wear. Circa 1881-1891. Very unusual set of six Limoge decorative plates. All six ruffled plates features flowers and a scene. There are two of each scene. One is a church, one a covered bridge and one a broken fence. The back rounds are white, the flowers are done in vivid color and the edges of each plate are a fine brushed gold. Exceptionally beautiful, pair of Louis Comfort Tiffany ruffled plates. These Favrile glass gold iridescent plates are all original, with no chips, cracks or flakes, although one plate has a pinhole in the center which I am sure is original to it's making. Both have gorgeous shimmering color, very difficult to capture in a photo. Both plates have LCT acid etched on the backs which I believe is Tiffany's earliest mark on glass. We have for sale an extra nice 7 piece set of Limoges game plates and platter from France. Each piece has a fish painted with the artist signature. The artist is Sena. The set is trimmed in gold with no chips or cracks. They are very attractive and in excellent condition. We do not know the exact age or date. We believe they are from the late 1800's or early 1900's. The platter is 16 ¼ inches long by 11 ½ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches tall and weighs 2 pounds. The plates are 8 ¾ inches by 1 ¼ inches tall and each weighs 1 pound. We will figure shipping with UPS ground. We do not figure shipping cost. This is an unusual pair of antique cast bronze pocket door plates, circa 1880’s, featuring a rippled background and abstract designs. The top and bottom of each plate features an asymmetrical design. These plates appear to be a rare variation of the “Arabic” pattern by Mallory, Wheeler, & Co. They are in very good antique condition. Each pocket door plate measures 2 ¼” wide, 8 ¾” long, and 5/8” deep overall.   « Less
