Pictured here is an Authentic Ancient Greek (Magna Graecia) Pyxis Vessel with Concentric Bands atop its Fitted Lid, finished in a Crème Buff typical of the pottery found in the Classical Period towns and villages along the Southern Italian Tarentine Gulf Region, continuing along the Ionian and Adriatic Coastlines as well as throughout Modern-Day Sicily. These Achaean, Ionic, Doric, and Hellenistic Greek settlers of that Southern Italian Region brought their stellar arts along with them, such as the incredible ceramics which inspired awe throughout the peoples of the ancient world and continues to inspire the same awe in the artists and cultures across the world today, nearly 3000 years later. The advanced forms of Hellenistic visual and performing arts undoubtedly played a special role in the formation of the rich culture of the soon-to-be Roman Empire, which would dominate the same territory a few hundred years later. The Terracotta Pyxis Vessel available here, priced well below market along with all ZTE artifacts, is 100% Authentic and Intact, with only one small crack repaired on a side of the vessel w/ no loss of structural integrity, a beautiful remnant of the Hellenistic Culture which left its mark across the Ancient World.
