This outstanding set of three pairs of early 1900’s sconces constructed of brass displays a lovely naturally aged patina. These sconces display a captivatingly shaped, scalloped back plate, which is topped with a draped urn finial. Stemming up from the back plate of these Georgian style sconces are hexagonal, U-curved arms, which meet very modestly designed bobeches. These truly alluring wall lamps are the definition of understated elegance. We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This is a gorgeous pair of superbly cast, single-arm iron sconces dating to the 1920's. These delightful sconces feature octagonal back plates with a twisted rope border and a smooth inner ring. A single arrow pierces each center ring, goes through a border of foliates and scrolls, and touches the twisted rope. The sconces are crowned with large, stylized anthemion finials. Simple, S-curved, iron arms spring from the lower portion of the backs and hold tulip-shaped bobeches. They are signed by their maker, the Moe-Bridges Company. The wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. This gorgeous set of four double arm sconces dates from the 1920s. The back plates are of a unique oval type cameo style, exhibiting a blossom within the center, bordered with a grove about the edge, and adorned with acanthus leaves and scrolled details. Each sconce arm extends from the center, flanking an original non-functioning turn switch, and meeting its destination in a base, which supports the sconce’s bobeche. The ribbed bobeches are modest, and show simple cast flower bud gadrooning about the rim. These wall lamps have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. *These sconces are marked Kaylite Co. on the backside (see last image). We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. This gorgeous pair of antique sconces dates from the 1920s. They are constructed of cast brass with amazing silver plating. The back plate of these sconces begins with a peaked and scrolled top finial, which crowns the uniquely shaped body of these sconces. Scalloped and banded about the edges, the back plates display a hammered effect within the center, have a shield type appearance, and display foliation that compliments the top finials. Each of the sconces two arms flank the center turn switch and curve outward toward lovely bases, which are adorned with stylized fleur-de-lis ornamentation. The bobeches themselves show fluting and corresponding foliation. We kept the original nonfunctioning antique turn switches for nostalgia s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if so desired. These wall lamps have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The measurements are 10 long measured, 9 wide, and protrude 4 from the wall. This set of sconces displays an adorable original polychrome finish with green and pink accent colors. They are marked “M.E.P” on the back, which is the signature for Markel Electric Products of Buffalo, NY. The sconces begin with a foliated and curled top finial. The back plate shows a seeded texture, which is surrounded by florets and leafing, and features a large, full flower, eye-catching center piece. Growing outwards from the back plate, the sconce arm supports a beaded and ribbed bobeche. The set includes two single arm sconces as well as a matching two arm sconce. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
