The dinner plates and luncheon plates are hand-painted in the rooster motif. The dinner plates measure 10 inches in diameter while the luncheon plates are 8 inches in diameter. Light grey with a hint of green in the background. The dinner plates are different from the luncheon (see photos). Marked Mennery Wedgwood of Etruria; Barlaston with other hand applied markings. Circa 1891. Superb Royal Worcester covered cheese dish. This large, round cheese keeper is another example of some of the best work of a fine 19th century English maker. Beautiful pink blooms on a fluttering vine of BLUE leaves, all on a fine cream colored back round, out-lined in gold. The bottom of the cover and the edge of the bottom bowl are also gilded as is the double knot finial. Exceptional in both quality and condition. Fully marked top and bottom for Royal Worcester, and date marked for 1891. Very fine original condition with almost no signs of wear or use. A rare find, fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 8 3/4" diameter, 5" tall. « Less

The pattern is slightly blurred in places. These minor defects mentioned for condition accuracy and do not detract from the beauty of this little dish. Measures 85mm long x 88mm wide x 25mm high.
