This is a fine Victorain tranfer print tile. Set on a cream background, it has light yellow magnolia blossoms and red tinged leaves centered in a geometric border. The registration number on the back dates this design to 1889. I have a number of this design, so if you are contemplating a project that requires several identical tiles, please consider these. Condition shows light scratches to the surface commensurate with age. These would look great interspersed among new tiles in a kitchen backsplash, or used to face a fireplace surround, and individually it provides nice eye appeal. One cherub holds out a small nest of eggs to the other. Ribbons fly behind and around the chubby little fellows.
