Limoge porcelain ewer. This is another excellent example of Victorian Aesthetic Movement porcelain. This dramatic French jug has huge pink flowers on stems with wicked looking thorns and red and brown leaves. The shape and design of the handle is Egyptian Revival in feel. The back round color is a pale yellow and there are lots of brushed gold accents. The handle is green with gold accents. Signed T & V on the base for the French maker Tressemenn & Vogt, mark 4a. Extra fine pair of 19th century European male and female figures. These statues are extremely high quality, beautifully molded and painted with great skill and lots of fine detail. They are both charmingly dressed in Period costumes. The young women wears a peaked hat and a dress with lots of color and design over which their is an apron that appears to be blowing around her. She is carrying a basket and wearing fancy purple shoes with a large bow buckle. The young man is wearing a jacket and knee pants in shades of purple. The pants are decorated with gold. He is also wearing a white shirt, taupe hat and brown shoes. He has a satchel slung over one shoulder. There is so much more detail on these figures, too much to describe, but easy to see for yourself in our close-up photos. Excellent original condition over-all with the exception being damage to the tips of the pinkie fingers on the male and one thumb and one pinkie on the female, which can easily be professionally restored if desired. Gorgeous pair of large mantel ewers. Tall and graceful, these beautiful Grecian style ewers are a soft, shaded, deep cream to peach back round color, boldly decorated with Victorian style white chrysanthemums and pink roses. The white of the flowers is textured and there are gold accents around the raised portion of the neck and base and brushed gold on the handles. Very good original condition, with light wear to the gilded handles and a tiny fleck off the base of one vase. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 15 " tall x 6" wide. Small, fine, decorated jam or mustard pot. This single handled Victorian porcelain covered pot has sweet, brightly colored flowers with raised gold detail. The back round is white on the bottom shaded towards the top to a soft, light green. The lid repeats this color scheme, reversed with the green on the bottom shaded to white on the top. Both the pot and lid have brushed gold edges and the finial is also brushed gold. Marked on the bottom as pictured, probably by the artist, I do not know the maker.
