Circa 1890. Unusual pair of Dresden handled ramekins. This lovely little pair of Dresden porcelain ramekins has the typical small Dresden flowers on a pleated white porcelain back round. What makes them unusual are the gold detailed handles and lids, and extremely fine, probably never used condition. Marked on the base with a blue crown over crossed arrows and Saxe. Beautifully decorated demitasse cup and saucer. Lovely, formal 18th century French style decoration in very fine original condition make this cup and saucer a stand out. There are two maker marks on this set, we could see a mark sticking out from under the stamp on the bottom of the saucer so we scraped the top mark off to reveal the original under the glaze mark which is why there is a different mark pictured on the cup. The original mark is for Phoenix China, Czechoslovakia which dates to the early 20th Century. Extremely fine transfer ware decoration on both the cup and saucer with an inset panel of a courting couple on one side of the cup. There is a lot of gilded detail including the rims of both pieces and the handle of the cup. Very good condition. 4" saucer diameter, cup is 3 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" tall.   « Less

Small, Royal Worcester porcelain bowl. Typical of the lovely work of this fine English maker, this piece is in the form of a "woven" basket with two slightly curved gilded handles and delicate floral decoration on the interior surface. The back round color of the whole piece is shaded cream to a soft peach. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Very good condition with extremely minor wear to the gilding on the handles. Fully signed and date marked for 1903. 4 3/4" wide x 4 " deep x 2 1/2" tall.   « Less

Rare Wedgwood Jasperware coronation tea set. What makes this set extra unusual is the fact that Edward VIII was never coroneted. He abdicated the throne to marry an American divorcee before his coronation could take place. Besides it's historical significance and rarity, this set is a fine example of Wedgwood Jasperware with a brilliant blue color and crisp, pure white decoration. An identical set is in the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. The set is fresh from a local Brooklyn estate and appears to be unused. Unfortunately, the spout of the tea pot was damaged when we received it so we have had it professionally restored and no damage is visible to the naked eye. Alas, this renders it suitable for display only. The very top of the cover on the sugar also looks slightly rough but I believe this is original to it's making. We have many additional pictures available. Tea pot 5" tall x 9" wide x 6 1/2" deep, sugar bowl 4 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 5" deep, creamer 2 1/2" tall x 5" wide x 4" deep.   « Less
