SHISHI, JAPANESE PORCELAIN, TAISHO Signed Yoshimi.
Here is a striking SHISHI, or Foo Lion in rich gray and white tones. In the manner of the Kutani porcelains this work is beautifully detailed and well balanced. The figurene is unmarked and probably dates to 1960's. This wonderful Shi is SIGNED in script on his left lower back, Yoshimi.
Condition: Excellent, no damage of any kind.

Huge signed Great Cheng Hua (Chinese Ming Emperor) late Edo(1800-1888) IMARI DEEP PLATE OR CHARGER. Highly detailed cavettos and central medallion with polychrome hand painted florals, and heavy gilt tendrils throughout the plate in Kakiemon palette. Japanese Imari at its best, though signed on base with Cheng Hua mark as was often done in the period.
Excellent investment piece for the advanced collector. Dimensions: 16" Width

Tea and Coffee service, French or German porcelain with stunning ART NOUVEAU relief florals. The motif is of delicate lilies and leaves which is carried out on all the pieces. Each cup has little lily pads surrounding the foot, and the pattern is repeated on the bases of the serving pieces. There are a coffee decanter and lid, tea pot and lid, sugar bowl and lid, creamer, 8 cups, 9 saucers. The porcelain bears only gilt numbers 3325.
Dimensions: Coffee Carafe 11 3/4", Tea Pot 8 3/4", Creamer 7". Sugar 7 1/4", Cups 3 1/2", Plates 5 1/2"
Condition: Excellent. One very minor chip on foot of Coffee server, a frit on a stem of leaf on lid. No wear to gilt.
