A well known name in Art Deco Americana lighting is “Moe Bridgesâ€. There are existing catalogs, from the 1930's, that show his lines. This pendant comes from the series that Moe Bridges called the “Etruscan Seriesâ€.
This two shade, single light, pendant was presented in his 1935 catalog as stock number 330-PL-1 and described as: “One light pendant Lantern. Spread 6 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Length 36 inches. Price $6.90†Now, we cannot offer the same price as 1935, but we thought we would pass along what it sold for at that date. And while the original 1935 (as delivered) length was 36â€, ours has been shortened to 19 1/2†for modern ceilings at some time.
Completely re-wired to UL standards with a new socket, and now ready to install. It uses only one bulb, but it can be 100 watts easily. The shades are in great condition. We used a low wattage bulb for the pictures so as to not blow-out the focus of the camera lens. Using a larger bulb, in actual usage, will give a much brighter appearance.
Comes complete with all the mounting hardware.
The finish is old gold and original.
Price: $650.00, plus $50.00 for careful packaging and Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
Note: Residents of Alaska/Hawaii and International Customers: additional shipping costs will be invoiced separately before shipment. The $50.00 charged at check-out will be credited towards your shipping total. Please contact us if you would like a shipping quote before purchase. We will be happy to oblige! « Less

Top of the line, Markel produced circa 1930's, cast iron chandelier with a dark red bronze finish. A true high end quality original cast iron antique frame with a lovely reddish bronzed finish. Circa 1930 by Markel.
This 6 shade chandelier was top-of-the-line. Markel 8800 series of slip shade lighting used this style of shade...and only one family of lights did use this shade. Markel did not give names to his series of lights, only numbers. So, this chandelier had the number 8836, which was a 7 light (socket) chandelier with six shades. Absolutely the top of this 8800 line. The bottom shade has two sockets for two smaller bulbs.
The bronzed finish is simply superb. This fixture is in oh-so-near-mint condition. The shades are simply in fantastic condition. The only thing that might be worth noting is that the bottom shade has just a slightly different hue than the slip shades. This is a common occurrence with 6 shade fixtures, since the glass slip shades and bottom shade were usually made at different times, in different molds by different glass workers, but this should still be noted.
Measuring 30" tall, with a diameter of about 20" from shade tip to shade tip, this is truly a magnificent offering. The decor of this chandelier is simply stunning. If you have been holding back for that truly outstanding piece, we believe that this could be it.
To make it better, please note that this antique fixture has been completely rewired with new sockets, and new wire, and is ready to hang. A new three way switch, to replace the old one, was installed so you can directly control the fixture from the light itself. The switch will allow you to turn on the sockets in the bottom shade only, or two of the slip shades only, or everything all at once...and of course--off. There are three “on†positions with this switch as well as “offâ€. Many folks simply use chandeliers, with this 3-way option switch, in the “all on†position selected.
A full mounting crossbar set will be included with this chandelier.
A note about the pictures...while there is a slight difference in the bottom shade from the side slip shades, they are ALL a light amber color. The 5 slip shades that surround the fixture DO match perfectly, and are all a light amber color. Where those greens and strange other colors came from (in our pictures), can only be explained by Nikon or a professional camera person, of which, we are not. We assume it had something to do with using incandescent light bulbs and then different media flood lights. Best shade color picture probably is the close-up finial picture.
Price: $1,650.00, plus $50.00 for careful packaging and Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
Note for Residents of Alaska/Hawaii and International Customers: additional shipping costs will be invoiced separately before shipment. The $50.00 charged at check-out will be credited towards your shipping total. Please contact us if you would like a shipping quote before purchase. We will be happy to oblige! « Less

Lovely set of circa 1920's wall sconces. Original antique sconces with amazing shell motif antique amber shades.
These sconces have a lovely before-depression pewter look and a great design that is so typical of the Twenties motif.
The amber shell motif shades are so very nice. They are a deep cast glass with deep pattern which is nicely shaped. Admirable is how the shapes are all tied together. There is a scroll on the backplate, repeated with a scroll on the shade fitter and finial too. Even the tops of the shades repeat this curve to tie all the decorative elements together. A nice presentation.
The metal of the backplates, is cast metal with a lovely light pewter finish. Ready to go...nothing needs to be done except add the light bulbs of your choice.
These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and wire. There are not any switches for these sconces.
Measurements:
The overall sconce height is 10â€. The maximum width (shade) is 4 1/2â€. It will project into the room from the wall 6â€.
Price for the pair: $423.50 plus $25.00 for careful packing and shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Fine Streamline Art Deco six shade chandelier...circa 1935 - 1937. The six shade versions of any light were always top of the line for all Art Deco slip shade series.
This nice chandelier is finished in the “Venetian Bronze†finish. It was available in this nice old gold finish, with nickel highlights, during the '30's. It was definitely a contrast that was part of the Streamline statement in lighting.
This chandelier has been totally re-wired in our UL approved shop, with new sockets and wires, and is ready to go. We will even supply a mounting kit so you can have it hung-up in no time.
Nice original finish and shades. The metal is showing some of it’s 80 or so years, but the finish is probably considered “good†for this age.
Measurements: 18†tall (could be lengthened by adding more chain), with a diameter of 16â€.

A hard to find set of four circa 1920-30 set of sconces, with great custard glass shades. The custard shades are in very good condition and seem to match the rounded decorative elements of the backplate quite well. The metal is finished in an antique hi/lo pewter look, and has some interesting decorative elements reflecting an Edwardian appeal.
Electrical: These sconces have been totally re-wired in our UL shop. Normal bakelite sockets for everyday medium base bulbs have been installed in each. The on/off rotary switch is mounted onto the backplate, which renewed an identical one by Leviton.
