Georg Jensen Silver & Garnet Foliate Brooch. Vintage sterling silver Georg Jensen brooch. This is my favorite of the Georg Jensen pieces that I have seen. It is marked 138 as well as Sterling 925 Denmark with Georg Jensen mark as the GJ. It measures 40 x 31 mm or 1 1/2 x 1 1/4'' and is in very good used condition with only the lightest of surface scratches. In fine un polished condition. If you win the auction and want to polish it you can. The trombone clasp and the initials signature denote that this is a old piece. Ref. This is a wonderful very decorative Circa 1860, Satsuma Koro. It stands on 4 stylish feet with gosu blue highlights. The body features animal mask side handles and a richly decorated gold dragon. They are wonderful done with lots of use of gold. Large richly enameled florals encased by geometric gold designs also in this scene. Thick reds, golds greens and Gosu blue throughout. Atop the lid is a very expressive Foo Lion in golds reds and Gosu. The Koro stands almost 6'' tall and about 4'' wide. Signed in Gosu blue on the underside. A rare very well done piece.
