Exquisite pair of antique bronze and marble putto candelabras, each one holds 5 candles. You could electrify them if desired or use with regular candles. These candelabras were made long before electricity was invented. The putto are beautifully sculptured, one has a mask head at the base, the other has a basket full of fruit. The putto have a beautiful chocolate brown patina and the candelabra tops are gilt bronze. They are in excellent condition and measure 24 inches high to the top of candelabras. The putto measure 8-1/2 inches high to the top of the cornucopia one is holding. The marble bases measure 5-1/2 inches wide and 5-1/2 inches deep. The candelabras measure 1 foot at their widest point from flower to flower. Weight 32 lbs. The putto are beautifully sculptured their faces angelic. Magnificent pair of 19th century gilt bronze 7 light candelabras signed Math. Moreau and dated 1858. The candelabras depict 2 beautiful gilt bronze maidens holding up the candelabra tops. The front of the candelabras have a high relief raised medallion with a beautiful lady's face. The candelabras have mythological heads adorning the upper portion near the top candle holder. They have all of their original bobochettes and are in excellent condition. Rarely if ever do you find a pair of figural candelabras that are signed and dated. This is a unique pair signed by an important 19th century sculptor Mathurin Moreau (FRENCH 1822-1912). They measure 25-1/2 inches high, 10 inches wide at widest point and 7-1/2 inches deep at the base. These are museum quality extraordinary sculptured candelabras in excellent condition guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. Now available is this beautiful pair of candelabras with prisms, that is in very good condition. These pieces have wonderful details, with a nice twisted stem, scrolled arms, and a scalloped base. Each one has six prisms. One candelabra has a crack across the top, which we have shown in the photographs. The lines across the bottom near the base are not cracks, but part of the glass. One candelabra is 8 5/8" in height, and the other is 8 1/2" in height, both are 4 3/4" in diameter, and weighs 2 pounds. Total weight for the pair is 4 pounds. We are not sure of the exact age.We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested.
