Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica strawberry server with sugar bowl, creamer and serving spoon. Server in the form of a dish decorated with green leaves and strawberry blossom on turquoise ground. Bird perched on the rim between two hollow nests which form wells for creamer and sugar bowl. Mottled underside with three stilt marks, painted pattern number ''2529'' in reserve, and impressed pattern registration diamond for 8th March 1870 all inside the foot. Sugar bowl and creamer both with mottled exteriors, ochre rims, turquoise interiors, and three stilt marks to underside. Spoon modeled as overlapping strawberry leaves to bowl, and leaf stems tied with a blue ribbon to handle. Good. Server: Two small flakes to inner rim of one well (not visible when sugar bowl is in place). Kiln effects: small firing pit inside one well. Restored chip to bird''s beak. Repair where bird joins dish. Sugar: No restoration. Kiln effect: small firing pit to interior. Creamer: Kiln effect: a few tiny glaze pops to interior. Retouched flake to rim. Spoon: Some wear to underside of bowl. Repair to handle. 5.5ins high, 10.75ins by 10.5ins   « Less

Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica three piece strawberry server. Oval shaped platter decorated in relief with strawberry fruits, leaves and flowers on turquoise ground. Ochre rim with a hole at either end to hold the sugar bowl and creamer. Mottled reverse with three stilt marks, impressed pattern registration diamond for 16th Jan 1872, and painted mark ''3217 40'' in reserve inside the foot. Sugar bowl and creamer molded as strawberry leaves, both pieces with a pedestal foot and turquoise interior. Twisted leaf handle with a strawberry flower at the top to creamer. Stilt marks and a vent hole to underside of both. Server: Good. Very slight wear to interior. Two repaired hairlines to rim. Sugar: Generally good. Two tight rim hairlines, one slightly visible on the exterior. Restored chip to rim. Creamer: Good. Kiln effect: glaze pops to underside. Server: 14.25ins, Sugar: 2.75ins, Creamer: 3.25ins   « Less

Server molded with green-glazed strawberry leaves on a white napkin, laid over a pink ground with ochre rim. Mottled green, brown and ochre reverse with three stilt marks. Creamer and sugar molded with a band of strawberry leaves around the center on pink ground. Ochre, diamond shaped rim. Turquoise interior.
