C. 1770 Chinese Export Famille Rose Tea Bowl measuring 1 3/4" in height and 3" in diameter. This tea bowl with the provenance of Elinor Gordon, the prime chinese export dealer in America. She has dealt and collected chinese export porcelain for well over 50 years from Villanova, Pa. And still today refers it to as Oriental Lowestoft. This tea bowl has a tiny nick of the ruffled top rim that is so unusual. A nice inside of cup decoration that is very well painted. No restoration. Very good condition. Who ever buys this tea bow is buying a piece of history, having bought a piece of chinese export porcelain that was once owned by the infamous Elinor Gordon whom I have had many interesting conversations with.   « Less

Circa 1880 Chinese Export Rose Canton Oval Scalloped Serving Dish measuring over 8 1/2" in diameter and over 1 1/2" in height and depth. The difference between rose canton and rose medallion is that rose canton has no people in the scenes. This is a unusual shaped form that we have not seen that often. On the bottom of the piece is a sticker from a antique shop in Long Island, New York who had apparently sold this piece to a member of the family whom I had recently purchased their chinese export rose medallion.   « Less

Circa 1820 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Punch Bowl of wonderful Quality and Great Condition with only the slightest of wear. This Bowl measures 15 3/4" in diameter and is 7 1/8" in height and depth. Wonderful Quality with a very nicely detailed greek key border. four quadrants of scenes on the inside of the bowl with a center scene only separated by another greek key border. The central scene in the middle bottom of the bowl has some minor wear but all in all the bowl has minimal wear for a large punch bowl surviving the past 200 years. The outside of this bowl has two large scenes of mandarins in a court yard scene adjoined by two cartouches of mandarins in scenes. All in all this bowl's workmanship is absolutely wonderful. This would make a beautiful setting in a room in the middle of a dining room table or on the side on a sideboard or a credenza. Additional images are available upon request. This is a absolutely wonderful example of the rose mandarin pattern in quite boldly decorated in vibrant colors. Rare and Extremely hard to find form, especially in rose mandarin. You might find this form in poor quality rose medallion from the 1880's but this is a early example in "Rose Mandarin".   « Less
